Damn son. Are you really this simple. And are you really even a college graduate? No one said that there aren't people who abuse the welfare system. This dude here......:smt011
There have been studies done to address fraud. And among recipients they found it to be low. Here is an article that addresses eight myths of Welfare. MYTH: Welfare recipients commit a lot of fraud, at the expense of American working people. FACT: Besides the fact that a lot of welfare recipients are American working people, a study in Massachusetts showed that vendors committed 93% of welfare fraud. This aspect of the welfare system drastically needs reform: it is harming recipients as well as taxpayers. But all of the political attention is on limiting the amount of money going to recipients. And although the fraud by welfare vendors is terrible, it is a drop in the bucket compared to the burdens on the American taxpayer of military fraud, government waste, and corporate welfare. The Savings and Loan bailout alone cost $132 billion. Most of us that actually live and participate in the real world know what's what, but some of these idealogically stuck individuals (from all sides) however......:smt085
Jordan my dear... I know we've had our back and forths. And that's all good. I just want to say I love you sooo much right now. Because really, that was my entire point. So... Iggy? Next?
Clearly well just have to agree to disagree. You seem to think everything is fine and dandy that so many motherfuckers are dependent on the gov I personally think its sad and disgraceful. ANd I provided video evidence of people abusing the welfare system so I'm not wrong either.
Here is a more realistic representation of how many Americans are on welfare and their source is the US Department of Commerce. With there being 330 million people in this country, over 100 million people being on welfare is an absurd accusation. http://www.statisticbrain.com/welfare-statistics/ And here's a blog that basically says the same thing: http://livingstingy.blogspot.com/2012/01/50-million-americans-on-welfare-not.html
I do not think everything is fine and dandy. If America as whole could get its act together and stop playing high school favorites..perhaps more people wouldn't be dependent on the government. And by the way...we are ALL dependent on the gov in one way or another. The next time your house catches fire or someone beats your ass...don't bother calling government services like 911 or anything. That would be sad and disgraceful. Yes, people will take advantage when they can. But my point (and Jordan's as well) is its not just the welfare recipients.
If youre boat is sinking do you throw people overboard so there is less weight or do yoi stop the motherfuckas making more holes?
