    Really dude?

Devin the Dude didn't earn the title "your favorite rappers' favorite rapper" for no reason. Dude has a huge underground following. His most mainstream shit was when he was featured on "Fuck You" on Chronic 2001, but to say Devin is a nobody is ridiculous. Probably the biggest name out of Rap-A-Lot after Geto Boys/Scarface and maybe Z-Ro.

Devin ain't the most lyrical dude out there, but his style doesn't require it and he for sure is nowhere near garbage. It ain't just Houston fuckin' with Devin.

It's incredible how everyone on here tend to be very into their favorite rap boy bands. This is most becoming. I should reread the whole thread to get a better idea.

Granted, I never been into rap or hip-hop, so my knowledge here is just...nonexistent for the most part.

Xzibit is actually one of the better rappers on the west and Kurrupt is viewed as one of the better on the west as well, although I've never been very impressed with him. I've heard X spit some pretty clever shit, although probably not on Talib's level.

And thats my point all though X has crazy energy and has hot songs he's not a good MC. Dude wouldnt even be in the top 20 on tje east coast because his lyrics are weak.
Im come from the era where dudes had cyphers and freestyles and just murdered the beat. They helped the beat the beat didnt help them

If your not from the west you won't understand.

On the west we don't buy into lyrics as much as a persons life story. You can be from Beverly hills and spit rhymes that makes Shakespeare poetry look like a Dr. Seuss book and people still wouldn't listen to you. But if you have a strong alibi and "hood" history people will buy your stuff.
