Yeah I like that show too, and Ive seen a few Interracial couples on it.

On the international version, they recently had a IR couple looking for a home in France. The husband was a American, pro basketball player, who played for a French team.

Yeah I remember that couple as well.

They chose the house with the long hill you had to walk up if I recall.

Good to see shows where normal IR couples are just doing their thing.

No celebs, no gossip stuff like Kim K and Kanye or things like that.

    No problem bro.

Love it, just a chilled, eclectic, laid back couple who loves each other and taking care of business.

    That's what's up. :)

Oooh, nice! Seen this one :)
I love most stuff on HGTV, could leave the tv on that channel all day, and enjoy nearly everything.
I guess I've moved too many times, and just love checking out houses :p

Exactly, since I love different cultures, travel, etc. Its a favorite of mine to see the different places.

Another favorite of mine on HGTV is Income Property with Scott Scott McGillivray, where he builds up to date, cool rental suites for homeowners in their outdated basements.

The before and afters are amazing to witness.

Yeah, that's a good show, I love seeing what he'll do. That show and Holmes on Homes are what I'll end up watching on my "homesick" days... makes me think of my dad. Laugh at things and think, "yup, dad would say/do the same thing".

I like seeing the houses people buy though, the different layouts and what people are looking for in a home/apartment. Haven't seen any that made me go "wow" in a good way yet though.

    LOL, homesick you say.

Scott McGillivray is Canadian as well and a carpenter by trade. :)

He does some fantastic renovations on Income Property that takes a useless basement and turns it into a 1000 - 1300 dollars per month rental property.

I've seen some renos that left me speechless.

Yeah, when I'm homesick (never really get homesick, lol. Just an "aww, home" kind of day), HGTV's getting played quite a bit.

It's pretty amazing to see what some little changes can do for a property's overall value :D

Thanks for the post GQ. I used to be an addict of that show until I cut all the way back on TV watching. And you are right they do IR couples every now and then.

Wow - they really are a gorgeous couple... I just love the whole vibe of their lifestyle and the way they interact with each other.

Yep, the vibe I got is that they are very much a creative, artsy type of couple. He made a reference to them putting their creative tastes to their new house when I saw the show last night.

I lived in Austin for a couple years. They're a very "Austin" couple.
