u know...look at his staying power...i don't think he's ever done a straight-to-dvd joint every movie he's in is a major release he needs more roles, tbh :smt106
Eh, that's alright. I'm sure there are more young black male actors that are relatively known that may have the chops to pull off this kind of role. Though I think in general it may also be that Neyo and the like are wanting more action packed/drama oriented 'normal' roles like the sort that Zac Efron gets a go at. I think we're ready to be a star in series of movies, or leading man of a summer block buster (outside of Will Smith for once) at least within this new decade. So I could see why he'd pass this up, sure it gives him exposure and he could be an american icon, but not the american icon that most other actors get a chance to be or even better, create.
Ne-yo is a no, give f Whitaker some hair dye and the role, fishbourne should have gotten Malcolm role spike and denzel are tight, will smith was a terrible rapper jazzy Jeff is was a brilliant dj who shouldn't have styled for such a clown rapper, I'm no racist lol but if a white dude calls you out on his 1st major single release then that tells the story
I believe Jeffrey Wright did a fantastic job in his portrayal of MLK in the HBO movie "Boycott" back in 2001. His performance was much better than the actual film.
