So you don't deny his plan is unsustainable? Okay. Now we're on the same page.

The fact is, his plan would dramatically raise taxes on low-income earners and add a minimum of $600 billion to the deficit, especially given he also plans to ramp up defense spending.

Andreboba, our conservative are using the same talking points from those conservative thinktanks who spout a lot of nonsense. Plus,it reminds me of the top House slaves:Thomas Sowell and Walter Williams. Oh yes GOP growth?? Boy the Bush years had led this country in a tailspin with two wars and financial bubbles. The GOP want low taxes for rich people and voter ID's to keep the Black, poor, and other minorities from voting.

There is something to that however. You see it in the states houses all over the country. On top of the voter I.D. laws, there's the efforts to curb early voting and discourage voter registration.

    Except he's telling the truth.
It's always the rich complaining about how much don't want to pay taxes and they somehow bamboozle the working class to believe their economic interests are the same and low taxes benefits them too.:partyman:

Its amazing the lies and half truths floating around on this thread. Bottom line democrat or repuican this country has been stolen by the oligarchy. Time to wake the fuck up. There is no reason an corporation should be given personhood anyone who agreed to that and parttakes in it deserves to be fucked with a rusty hammer. There shouldnt be government supported gains for people willing to ship out American jobs but leech off of AMERICAN CONSUMERSHIP. Whose interest is being served right now? Sure as fuck not a single one of you posting right now.

For James and anyone else who does not realize...

Obama has lowered taxes for 98% of Americans

He has given every indication that he will extend the Bush tax cuts as well.

President Obama Cut Taxes for 98%
    of Working Families in 2009
According to a recent CBS News/New York Times poll, the vast majority of Americans do not
perceive that they have received a tax cut from President Obama. Asked if the President “has
already raised taxes this past year,” 53 percent of those polled said that the President has
“kept taxes the same,” and 24 percent think that the President has “raised taxes.” A mere 12
percent believe that the President has cut their taxes.1

This is an astonishing level of misunderstanding. The truth is that the major tax cuts enacted
in the 2009 economic stimulus bill actually reduced federal income taxes for tax year 2009
for 98 percent of all working families and individuals. These tax cuts saved working families
and individuals an average of $1,158 on the tax returns they will file by April 15. (The median
    tax cut was approximately $600.)
The stimulus bill included several tax cutting measures for
    individuals in tax year 2009:
    # The “Making Work Pay” tax credit gave most working
people a $400 refundable tax credit. This credit is
worth $800 to most working married couples. More
than 94 percent of all working families and individuals
    received this tax cut.
    # Changes to the $1,000 per-child tax credit and the
earned-income tax credit gave an average of $872 each
to 12 million, mostly low-income working families with
    children.
    # Relief from the Alternative Minimum Tax for 2009
reduced taxes for 25 million mostly upper-income
    couples and individuals.
    # A new, partially refundable education credit was also
    enacted for 2009.
One reason why the public may not realize that the
President has cut their 2009 taxes is that the tax cut that affected the most people — the
“Making Work Pay” credit — was dribbled out gradually in reduced tax withholding on wages. Obama Tax Cuts for Working

If the average American doesn't realize the POTUS has lowered their taxes, Obama has a serious messaging problem that needs to be addressed if expects to win a second term.

    Release your taxes, Mittens!!!

Most Americans pay either personal income tax or payroll taxes that raise nearly as much federal revenue as the income tax.

When are conservatives going to realize they're being lied to by....OTHER CONSERVATIVES???

Everytime someone on Faux News says only half of all Americans pay federal taxes, they are LYING.:smt019

These are not "conservatives" in the William F. Buckley sense of the term. A lot of them are simply either neo-conservatives, libertarians or low-information voters.
