At least 10 dead at least 39 injured according to the TV news right now!:-(

An overnight shooting at a movie theatre in Aurora, Colo., has left 10 people dead and at least 20 people were injured, according to authorities.

Aurora police confirm they have a male suspect in custody and they have recovered a gun at the scene.

People were gathered at the theatre to watch the premiere of "The Dark Knight Rises."

Police say there was an explosive device inside the theater, but they are not sure if that was already in place or whether it was thrown into the crowd.

 

Just plain sad. People try to have sensible enjoyment and out of the blue, shit like this. Now families are in mourning. SMH. Prayers go out to the fams an friends.

As a former asst. manager for a movie theater, I want to know how the fuck he got through that exit.
He had to have had help.

 

you know..this addresses the issue of 'fight or flight'

with that many people in the theater, they could have taken him down before he injured that many. I guess this plays into divide and conquer also. it's easier to take out larger targets when they're less cohesive and not working as a group. so now, everyone's fleeing and getting shot in the back.

 

This is fricking tragic. The white race has to address this shit and keep lunatics like this off the streets. Stop preoccupying yourself with the Kardashians and keep these animals in check. I hear you about fight or flight. Everyone's instinct is to flee, there are a select heroic few who keep the mindset or wits, to fight. Usually you find that in a trained person, ie: ex military, law enforcement, martial artist...or straight up hero.

 

Options would be different since the average person isn't a concealed carry ex marine, but the tactics are still kinda the same. If everyone in your group runs away, you make easy targets. If everyone swarmed in, he would have killed some but definitely would have other things to worry about. Stress makes even the best shooters lose their shit

It's being reported that he threw smoke or teargas canisters into the darken theater before he started shooting. Plus he had on a gas mask and tactical gear on with a bullet proof vest. Some people who where in the theater initially thought it was a publicity stunt connected to the movie before they realized it was all too real.
