I agree that the timing is being seized upon by the media to take advantage of pre-trial publicity and muddy his public image. Nevertheless, if he continued this behavior over a period of years with an unwilling person, it's still creepy.

I'm no fan of the fucker but that confession seems a little bogus. Its hard for me to imagine an 8 year old molesting a 6 six year old and having the mental faculty to really understanf what hes doing. Sounds a little fishy but this doesnt change the fact that hes a scumbag one way or the other.

 

What his excuse when he was, say, 16 and she was 14? He knew what he was doing by then.

Talk about giving his supporters an EXCUSE to bring up every thing Trayvon ever did as a child on up. There is going to be so much mud flung it's going to be an absolute circus.

 

i fail to see how being accused of molesting your cousin for 10 years since the age of 6 makes someone a 'sympathetic' figure.

This is the kind of thing that comes out in high profile criminal cases, especially when the defendant has a track record for being an asshole.

If Trayvon had been accused of mugging classmates in the hallways of his HS but never caught, would he suddenly become a 'victim' of a smear campaign??

Mind you, this woman is his COUSIN. They are related by blood and he's on trial for murder.

I don't know about your extended family, but no one I'm related to is going to make up shit for the fuck of it to divulge to the media, even less so if I'm being charged with murder.

People who are actively supportive of George Zimmerman IMO are troubled individuals.

Don't you think there are ENOUGH relevant, current adult things he's done that show he has a defective character? For example, the story I posted how he allegedly beat his wife and got away with it. Now that might bear relevance to his actions against Trayvon.

When you start asking potential jurors to imagine George as Georgie messing with a female family friend at once a year picnics...c'mon now...didn't you mess around as a kid with the neighborhood chicks? There's a reason we don't hold 8 yr olds criminally accountable for their behavior. The prosecution don't need this to 'help' their case.

 

It's probably not admissible in court anyway, however the difference for me between kids messing around and what Zimmerman is accused of doing is the fact that USA Today, for instance, reported that the woman was his cousin(!).

That's just creepy/nasty.

Bullshit. Nothing provoked these people. They started attacking Martin as soon as the story got national attention.

BTW get your facts straight. This was from information released by the prosecution. The witness said that the Zimmerman's "inappropriate behavior" continued up until she was 16 and he was 18. She also said that Zimmerman and his family aren't particularly fond of black people.

 

And yet he was cleared of any type of hate crime by the FBI...so the "white man seeking out black teen and executing him" angle needs to be shut the fuck down. People WANT to make this a race issue because it makes more headlines.
