Besides establishing completely unreasonable standards of beauty, these retouched photos make women look like Barbie dolls. We searched high and low for freckles, smile lines, and knee caps (seriously, editors airbrush out everything!) and compiled refreshing images of stars without Photoshop. These ladies are gorgeous without computer-generated features. Here's to going natural! By Joanna Douglas, Shine Staff Photo by: Candies Britney Spears As the longtime face of Candies, Spears was royally bummed when her 2010 campaign was digitally enhanced to an absurd degree. In order to proudly show off her real body and reveal to the world how unrealistic ads can be, Spears asked for the original unretouched images to be released . When viewed side-by-side, her butt may not be as perky and her limbs may not be as slim, but we prefer when celebs have flesh and muscles instead of those monochomatic Gumby legs.
I actually like the real Britney's body better. Even if the mag had published them instead to begin with, I'd have instantly loved them and not thought bad of them. I applaud her for requesting they be later published.
We have so gotten away from the truth....and made it shameful? The fact is, humans age. End of story. . .
I do too. I don't understand how they can make her ass higher though?? Not a photoshop pro myself though. Surprised at what can be done. All the pics we think are really probably most are not.
Jessica Simpson was often shown on her reality show (years ago) without makeup and I always thought she looked much better sans makeup. She looked young and fresh.
I agree Ches, she's does look just as good. ^^^^ I think the ass looks the same height to me...i could be wrong. Yeah, what can be done is astounding. I happen to see this ad earlier which was on on a website I was reading... http://www.portraitprofessional.com/gallery/?p=7 Interesting (sad?) how each face had been manipulated when you run your mouse over the pic...
The photoshopped faces look so fake. They're like the Stepford Wives...maybe because I'm really looking, but I think they look less real and more like cyborgs than people. LOL. Their faces look like they have fake skin!
You are correct. She is classy and gorgeous even when dressed down. On another board they said to name a celeb who you thinks looks as good with and without makeup. I could only name Jessica Simpson.
The real Jessica Alba is on the left. Did they really have to shrink her hips and waist?? Just stupid.
Any wonder that women feel the pressure they do to be slim? Thanks, again, to the media that sets the standard for beauty.
Jessica is totally sexy. She doesn't need the help of photoshop. they make the standards too high when they think the need to lay a hand on her pics. It's not real for sure. Ok LA I'll give you Minka too.
I used to have such a huge crush on her when she was in Dark Angel. Then she named her kid honor and it all went down hill from there. She is still straight-up gorgeous though.
Yeah, and her thigh? They cut it off at the side/back. I think that muscular indentation is lovely on a thigh. I have that, as do many women. It's normal.
They didn't do much changes on jessica alba and didnt try to make her thinner, just they made her waist smaller, as she does not have a thin waist... compare to her body.. thats the most work that been done .. so why everyone saying about make people to look thin :smt120 just they gave her a better waist.. not that she needed to be chage but this have nothing to do about the weight..
They also sculpted the indentation along side her thigh. That's what bliss was referring to. And she very right. It isn't an unsightly blemish. Its very natural curve to have.
