Damn, didn't even know about that until I saw your post.

My grandmother used to love to watch Matlock.

    R.I.P. to him indeed.

As a North Carolinian I was suprisied that Mr.Griffith had died and he was laid to rest on Roanoke Island the same day! The most loved celebrities have the most private funerals. He also helped the Democrats in some elections to state offices over the years. Griffifth would be sorely missed.

RIP man. I used to watch the hell out of some Andy Griffith on TV land when I was in middle school.

Griffith played a Glenn Beck type right wing voice of the people in A Face In the Crowd, good ol' boy who turns to the dark side and is destroyed.
Great movie. I think Griffith was typecast because of his accent by H'wood, he was a helluva dramatic actor.

Andreboba,Griffith played the part way before Glenn Beck came on the scene in 1956. Keith Obermann called Beck "Lonesome Rhodes" on his TV show.

    LOL.
I was trying to give a modern reference to the character Griffith played in the movie, I wasn't saying the character was based on Glenn Beck.:smt030
