Well, anything controversial around here is automatically dismissed as a bait thread. It's peoples inability to have mature adult discussions that turns what has the potential to be a thought provoking conversation into a 'bait thread'.

This is so true of all studies. The first thing you have to look at is authority of the study. It's done by a dating service. Not really scientific findings. Then you have to look at what they're saying (or in this case not saying) - the research was based on 925 respondents, which tells you absolutely nothing about the respondents. How many were women? How many were men? What was the age range of said respondents? How many older women/younger women, older men/younger men were involved in the study? How long have these respondents been single and looking?

These are all valid questions that this article doesn't address at all.

Very true, also the numbers IN the study that would NOT date an unemployed verso of the opposite sex is not the same as the title, they threw in the number of women that were undecided and called it "would not" in the title. Meaning that the real numbers they got, there is no real statistical difference between women and men w less than 1000 participants.
