The news is the news. It's the world we live in. There have been threads on Amanda Knox and Casey Anthony. I don't see how this is different.

These stories are selectively chosen by posters. They have a preference for these kinds of stories. And the only time I see them posted frequently is on this board.

There's a disproportionate amount of White on Black crime being posted, and vice versa. Just my opinion.

I will say though that these types of stories do need to be reported. Terrible as they may be(esp the violence in Chicago), they are happening and they need to stop.

 

Well when you look at the TV a large percent of the news there is bad too.

I guess I am interested in this story. I always worry/wonder about Americans abroad and how other judicial systems will treat them. Hopefully fair.

Crimes of passion happen within any race so it has not one thing to do with the fact it's IR. I think most of the women here are fairly openminded and fair for a good part. They can separate something that is an aberration from the norm.

The stories that piss me off are the ones where people get cameras and show a group of black people out kicking some white guys ass then put in on that worldstarhiphop.com. That to me is not news. It's bullshit and degrading. Why they give an audience to that there or people bring that scum here I will never understand.

I realized a long time ago all I can do is live my life according to my own values and character that shape me.

If someone automatically assumes a negative about you as a black person based on your skin color and not your actions then that is for them to deal with. You can't control that, you only control your own choices and actions.
