I've lost count the many times I've been pulled over. And 9/10 I got a ticket.

One time I barely rolled through a Stop sign and the cop (Black male) was about to write me a ticket when he got an emergency call and I remember he pointed his pen hard at me and said "You're damn lucky I got this call!" and sped off, lights flashing. *phew* :D

Another time I was stopped too forward at a stop light and this cop (yes, another Black cop, lol) pulls up next to me and yells out his window, "HEY!, the marker line is back there, not here. Back it up!" [IMG]

wouldnt know about 'always,' but there is history behind the statement

that's why it's such a big deal in this country

not like some half-wit just decided out of the blue, that racial-exclusive juries in controversial trials was suspect

    not really, you know..

id actually encourage looking at cases with a strict eye, just because there are segments of society that still practice old behavior

part of justice is ensuring that people get straight trials, without slant going any way. how can you uphold such beliefs, if you do not take the time to examine what happens in society

    that's his prerogative tho

thankfully people like me and you are around that are willing to raise those questions.

Dark Knight, unless it does happen to him he will not believe a White jury would convict his butt on a crime flimsy or otherwise.

Dude was running from the cops. Dude was not running from the cops with any weapons drawn and letting off rounds endangering the cops or innocent civilians. If he actually was then a case for beating his ass down because he was an immediate threat could/can be made. Sounds like you care more about cops just upholding the law rather than them protecting and serving the public and anyone breaking the law period should be able to get beaten down simply on that basis.

Quit playing damn hypothetical shit and deal with what actually happened. If he had a weapon and being as "disrespectful" as he was the fool would have used that shit being he is trying to run and has no regard for others to begin with. Unlike you I have seen my fair share of ignorant criminal behavior first hand, so making all of my assumptions and opinions based on that.

You better hope you're not out at night somewhere and an itchy cop thinks you resemble the 'suspect'.:smt077

Just out of curiosity: Raise your hand if you are a black male and have never been arrested or broken the law outside of maybe a speeding or a traffic ticket and have been stopped and detained one or more times as an adult for supposedly fitting the description of a suspect of some crime : :smt006

Double points if it has happen to you while professionally dressed and driving a nice vehicle at the time /one of the times (if more than one time) : :smt006:smt006

    Good test Ra.

  16. Actually, while i've never been arrested for a crime. When i was in college i worked for a local councilman who was running for town council doing voter outreach when i was 21 or 22 i was stopped by police officers who said i fit the "description" of a car thief who had been in the area. I was dressed professionally and even had my permit to be in the area. The cops didn't care. The only thing "threatening" on me we're my dreads.

So yeah, it is possible to attract the attention of the cops going about your business and looking professional without committing a crime. Do we live on the same planet??

  17. And i haven't even gotten into my college stories about being asked if i was actually a student at my university by campus security. I swear some of you brothas remind of this guy:

  19. Actually they never ask white students that. It was a predominately white school. Most students of color complained about it including one kid who claimed an administrator called security while he was outside her window because he looked suspicious. He actually was doing a service learning project involving the grounds at the school.

But if forgot you live in a twilight zone where racism doesn't exist.

Why is it you are always playing the blame/hate white people card when others relate experiences that you don't have as if they are doing something wrong and you are doing something right? You have a habit of doing that a lot. Noticed it especially in that Trayvon Martin tread when you were trying "look at it from all angles".....
