Buffalo police have launched a manhunt for prominent trauma surgeon Dr. Timothy Jorden Jr., 49, in the shooting death of Jacqueline Wisniewski, a 33 year old receptionist at Erie County Medical Center. Police say the shooting was not a random act. The Buffalo News is reporting that sources close to Dr. Timothy Jorden said he experienced some emotional problems in recent months. Wisniewski is described as the reportedly married doctor’s “one-time girlfriend.” She leaves behind a young son and was training to be a nurse.

I read about this sad news yesterday, but did not know their faces. She has a young child now motherless. He was a skilled trauma surgeon. Fucking tragic waste, all of it.

The title is extremely misleading?

Nowhere in the news article does it say he's married and she's his 'side-piece'.

She was his LIVE-IN GIRLFRIEND. They lived together for a year and she recently left him because she suspected he was cheating and he physically abused her....and he then stalked her and threatened her life. She wasn't a 'side-piece.'

And I know the intro paragraph says 'he's married' but that's a blogger's POV, no? Even so, they never suggested she was his s/p.

This is my home you're talking about, and . They don't know details yet, and are still looking for him. Buffalo PD is not winning any points lately though. One of their officers was spotted leaving the doctors home earlier today and had no business being there. Suspended without pay.

He is married though, that much has been all over the news. They won't know anything until they find him. If they find him. And if they find him alive.

With all Jokes aside, this is a very sad case, it appears many lives have been affected;
-that poor young woman who got killed, who is planning to be a nurse, her life has been cut short, sad
-The woman’s child
-Like it or not, many ppl who would have benefited from this skilled trauma surgeon hands also affected.

It's tragic that a doctor who saved countless lives might be accused of taking someone else's life, a physician who saved gunshot victims and cared so much about the consequences of gun violence had become embroiled in gun violence.

It might be crime of passion, if he killed her as the article states at point blank range, then the man must have loved her to death to go insane like that. He has jeopardized his successful medical career, more than half a million dollar worth home, financial success and he was also an Army captain.

Damn, if he did it, he must have snapped.

He was also an outstanding community member in society and the Medical Field as a teacher and mentor.

She lost her life to a maniac though. He didn't just snap. He controlled and stalked and abused her for a while. She was terrified of him.

This doctor saved my friend's life... he impacted so many people in such a positive way that many of his former patients were beside themselves. My friend cried all night after the shooting because if it hadn't been for this man, she wouldn't be alive today.

What he did was so beyond awful, there are no words. I can't imagine what would make someone snap like that, but I hope it no longer troubles him. I feel so awful for his victim's son, who has to grow up now without his mother.

What kills me...on the Buffalo News website, some of the comments are insane. One man said something about 'another interracial relationship goes bad...shocker' and a woman claiming to be a black woman said something to the effect of 'As a black woman, I agree. That's why we don't leave our men...it's not about being stupid, it's about survival. We know if we leave, we will die, and that's why we stay. Say what you want, but we know how it is.' My jaw almost fell off of my face and rolled into the next room.

Then again, it is Buffalo. People are racist as fuck around here. You'd be surprised how backwoods the suburbs are. Ridiculous.
