. . . because of a close friend, and a bunch of untrue stories,that, as i think back on them now, sounded not born, but hatached,I think I'm one who missed out on what probably might have been a great love relationship more than once. the first time it was a friend, and the next, a relative, tell me lies about a certain girl i'd just met, a friend of another race, seeking to become a significant other. iwas very lonely and was listening to advice from anyone. i let scare rumors on sex, infedelity, unfaithfulness, and untrue things about her past, for which i am an adult, and should have known better to see through, cloud my judgement. Completely untrue. They didn't know the girl. they didn;t know what they were talking about. But i didn't know that then. The unforgivable thing was that, even when they found out he truth, they kept it to themselves. Because I let prejudiced friends get in the way, missd out on a beatiful relationship.Perhaps marriage. Their explanation was the usual story: they just wanted to help me and protect. (Protect? Thanks. We're all adults here right?) And Some help. This "super-black" women they'd picked out that was supposed to be so perfect, I couldn't stand her. she was more for them than me. Another little lesson I learned.
. Relatives notwithstanding, those people are out of my life now. No, I'm not angry. Just sorry. I don't know if that's ever happened to you, but for me I must spend the rest of my life living with a very bad mistake: knowing I've hurt someone, who would never have hurt me at all, and made life harder for her.
I suppose that even now, those wanting interracial relations really do travel a different path, and listen to adifferent drummer. Even when it's just friendhip, or even sex. And while it's true you have to be just a bit more careful these days, if I were you, if you meet someone, and something clicks, but you're still not sure, don't give up so easy. Spend a little money. Find a website where one price covers all. Check them out. And here's the thing; if the official documented record says: "No Criminal Record.", with no substantiation of any of the rumors said by anyone, go ahead, throw out all the childishness. Relatives notwithstanding. Because I'm a guy i personally don't mind doing the honest thing and just calling upand asking
I don't know about you, but i'm damn sick and tired, of being helped, when i didn't ask for help, and for the ;ladies, that "Protection" usually by panicky people who merely by the blindness of their own bigotry, don't have anyone, can't get anyone, couldn't answer for themselves, even so far as tonight. Even if they can, they're not you and me.
