Puppy detonated with explosives

Please send your condolences out to this animal who was a victim of animal cruelty. The dog managed to survive even though the explosives (an M-80 device) went off on it. For any animal lovers here and for people generally, this is an important thread to look at.

Poor baby. I hope he heals and has a wonderful life. How people can be so cruel to beings so powerless as animals is something I can't fathom. Animals suffer mercilessly because we see them as less than us bad ass humans. If we are such bad asses, why do we do such fucked up shit to animals?
It's sickening and there should be harsher penalties for those who torture and abuse animals.

 

Thanks for the replies. I found out about this because it was briefly mentioned for a few minutes on CNN yesterday. What kind of sentencing should we put on the person(s) who did this to the dog?

Curiously, I saw a comment left there where someone mentioned her Islamic name. Shukriyyah Albaaqee. I'm wondering now if some sick evil bigot wasn't trying to "send her a message". Who thinks to strap explosives to a dog's body and detonate it?

The tie between animal killing and would be serials is quite known and I was going to question that as well.

As for sentence...the name of the attacker should be well known and shamed if possible as well as some kind of large sum payment. Their name should go on a list that prevents them from ever owning any kind of animal as well as time in a cell with no privileges at all. And if they ever are caught with an animal in their possession then all freedom should be revoked immidiately and all human privillage should be suspended post haste. You are not human, not even close to human if you are able to do such a thing to such a innocent and defenseless creature. You should not be treated in the least as if you were human. You should lose all social standing and should be considered a outcast and shunned.

Yep, I didn't add "let alone humans" because it's a well known fact they violate H/R's. I actually made a thread on that story you linked. Also there was a thread here on the cavalier response to a little girl being run over by a van - passersby's just walked over her.

Back to cruelty to animals, seeing the undercover footage of what they do to dogs and cats for their fur burned my soul.
