I got 101 problems & gay marriage is not one of them.

As a Christian I say live & let live. Gays should be allowed to get married, none of my damn or the law makers business.

Gay marriage has been legal a bit longer in Germany already and I have zero problem with it.

Ok, what did I do wrong??? I voiced my opinion and firmly stood behind it. I didn't belittle, insult, point a finger, beat, kill, curse, violate, or dehumanize anyone. I even scatched the word immoral and left religion out of this because of what others believe. I gave respect, and yet I was ganged up on, disrespected, insulted, belittled & told I shouldn't stand and defend myself and give up. And my FIRST sentence in the thread was "They can do whatever they want" which lead to me facing a wolf pack. Not cool my WWBM, not cool.

So are you saying that even though you don't approve of their marriages that they should be legally entitled to have them as them as the rest of us are?

They can do whatever they want babes.

I think the reason why everyone was on you is b/c with what you were saying no understood that even though you felt that way you still supported their civil rights.

My beef isn't with you Stizzy. My beef really is more with the people who make the laws that don't give people the right to marry who they choose. I don't have anything against you. You don't like to have sex with men. That's more than ok. Thank god there are straight men because who else would all the fine women of WWBM screw? :)

I'm trying not belittle. or insult. Or point a finger. But I just have to say (again) that it is a sad state of affairs when other people dictate peoples free choice based on their own. Thats not freedom.

I say let them get married. I don't personally approve of the lifestyle, but it doesn't effect me on any level. However, I do take issues with gay activist and their bullying tactics, when ever someone says something in public that they don't like.

We cool babes. I don't have beef with anyone on the boards. Stizzy's a cup half full type of guy. Lol. I just don't get how civil rights, ect are preached and I was pounded for respectfully voicing my opinion.

    2 things...

    1) You basically state that there should be a limit on equal rights and given the context of this thread, that limitation applies to equal rights for same sex couples.

    2) You attempt to flip the script and equate your being called on your bigotry as an attack on your right to free speech. Nobody is taking away your right to have an opinion or your right to express that opinion. However, just as a person who states that blacks and whites should not intermarry would be deemed a racist. Those who take a similar stance on same sex coupling would be deemed a homophobe.

There are limitations on everything. You sound smart, you should know that. I could care less if people married animals. I see things from a religious point. But that opens up another can of worms. So I chose not to go there. Bigot,, call it what you want. Who cares.

My hubby is very anti-gay, but he respects them as human beings and that, in my opinion, counts for a lot.
I don't think anyone has to 'like' everyone, but respecting people as human beings with the right to live as they want and fall in love with (and marry) who or whom ever they choose is very important (IMO).

It's OK to not like homosexuality, but to say that, because you personally don't like it, you should be able to dictate how they live their life, is NOT OK.

I think I just said the same thing in three different ways. Hahahahaha! I'm tired.
