I get that your experiences are different - obviously! What I don't much get is how you indict most WP when you can't begin to know. You may have merit when it comes to YOUR experiences, or your NY experiences and what happens locally to you...but come on, there's hundreds of millions of WP. It's called deductive reasoning Bliss. This Martin case is such a clear indicator of how this country feels about black people. The fact there is debate over Zimmerman's guilt makes it painfully clear how this country feels, the way Obama is criticized and disrespected is as well. Can you even imagine the public eagerly supporting the victim blaming of Emily Smart or Natalie Hollaway? Fuck no. I am not saying nor have I ever said that all or even most wp dislike or hate black people they are just indifferent. It doesn't personally affect them so most don't care. Things are good for them so they would rather not hear about social injustices based on race or even more accurate to the point things aren't so good for them so they don't want to hear nor care about racial disparity. It's not an issue out right racism its an issue of not caring what happens to others because you personally don't have to feel it. You personally don't know the fear of something bad happening and thinking "wait if I call the cops are they going to think I did this?" or "Wait even though I graduated in the top 5% of my class will I still be considered for this job or will they over look that in favor of a white candidate".

I think slavery like civil rights was more of an economic move than a social one just like giving women the right to work and earn wages comparable to men.
