Almost seems like our education system is headed in that direction. Too much damn focus on standardized tests. Although due to cultural differences I really doubt many Americans students would take it THAT far. However I do know plenty who have popped adderall and ritalin for exams and term papers. Don't know how it compares to what those guys are doing in China. Or how widespread it is. Maybe we're not that different:smt107
lol there's talk about straying more from standardized tests, which gauge your memory to remember things. there's a crowd out there that would prefer their students to become more creative thinkers instead. If you notice now with college admissions, there's a lean going towards more 'well-rounded' students, and not just one-dimensional superb test takers. I remember a while back when many schools, included Penn State, had SAT score cut-offs. Now, schools are saying they don't have a minimum SAT score. Not saying that tests are defunct..but what's the point of admitting kids that pass tests with flying colors, but couldn't creatively think or solve problems with logic or common sense?
You ain't lying fam. I ran a study session tonight and it amazed me how many of these kids couldn't apply what they learned to life. Like the simple concept of Externalities. The knew definitions but that shit was really scary to me that they didn't how to apply it. The future looks bright smh
