    An astute observation:
On this forum, the white sisterhood, for the most part are loyal, supportive, and complimentary to one-another with everything ranging from encouragement to reputation points..........
On the contrary the black brotherhood is full of rivalry, competition and treachery like crabs trampling over one-another in the climb to the top of a bucket...........
Such is the nature in the contrast between male and female cognition........

Well, I'm not here to compete with anyone and actually enjoy the conversations here for the most part...except for the petty sniping, that is. Finals done! Can't wait to see Battleship this Friday. My son's playing in a tennis tournament on Saturday. Oh and by the way...the Avengers rocked! Check it!

    Gotta agree with TDK.
I think this forum is just like every other place where many people with different characters meet.
Some will build close bonds and some will just not like each other that much.
That goes with men and women.
I've seen women argue with each other just as much as men do and I saw guys support each other when they shared the same point of view on something.
So I really cant say the women in here are all "lubby dubby" and the men are only about competition.

But ladies: you know I love all of you, right? ;):smt049

Why is it that anytime I want to talk to any of my friends or my best friends...I start getting shy? Seriously, it's driving me insane. I wish I wasn't such a shy person sometimes. :smt011

Anywho...paintball touney coming up in a week. Next Tuesday afternoon, methinks. I'm pretty much ready to go in terms with combat skills and aims...whatnot. Shit's about to real. :smt071:smt038 :smt068:rolleyes:

    YEEHAW! *cowgirl pose* hehehe :p

I've not had this experience since I've been on here. The women here now are pretty classy. Don't argue with and insult each other. Rarely, if ever. But the guys can get really ugly at times, both with each other and the women. Some of that is just being a guy, I guess. But I noticed what Arch was saying a long time ago. You were on here before I joined so maybe things were different then. But now....

I've witnessed this in my short time here. I mainly agree with the "encouragement to reputation points" statement Arch made. Check the ratio status. Women will rep each other for everything, men, not. Just an example here: CD and MM post a pic, both rep CD, only women rep MM. Just my 3 cents.

And if they are nice or compliment another guy they precede it with "no homosexual".

I don't think arch is too far off in his assessment. The guys are usually trying to look manly and macho I guess for.... each other?? Trying hard not to show any cracks or weaknesses.

Psychological studies show that women are more comfortable complimenting other women vs men complimenting another man.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Complimentary_language_and_gender New Zealand study quoted here.

Yes, I know men only like that...competitors...but they take it like sportsmen. It's a mens language, nothing serious. How many times do you see men hugging each other? IIIHHH, only women do that- would be the typical answer. (my observations)

So what would you think if after posting your fine self, guys repped you with, "Damn Stiizy, you're so incredibly Handsome" or "OMG, you got that pretty-boy thing about you, you look so good"

I'm half joking and it's not a bad thing, of course. :D I actually loved the lone male compliment you got for your suit. You rocked it debonair. :smt023
