A sergeant will be discharged for criticizing President Barack Obama on Facebook in a case that called into question the Pentagon's policies about social media and its limits on the speech of active duty military personnel, the Marine Corps said Wednesday.

what do you think....should he be discarged for his views and shouldnt he be protected under free speech

 

THe POTUS is the Commander in Chief of ALL the military. Dissing him on facebook is like dissing a 5 star general AND the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

This oath is NOT just words. It has definite meaning. It is the enlistee's PROMISE on their honor to follow ALL orders from the President of the United States.

This leader should be reduced in rank immediately and discharged from military duty as soon as possible!!!

Now...Exception to the rules... if he said that he will not follow any UNLAWFUL order that would be taken under consideration. No leader or any other soldier should follow any unlawful order from any superior. I can not order a soldier to kill you because I dont like you, etc.

It is IMPERATIVE that NCOs always function as the backbone of the military!!
When they dont follow orders do you think any soldier they lead will follow orders?? NOT GOOD!!!

So... Yes, that leader should be expelled immediately! Soldiers DO NOT have the right to publicly down talk our Commander in Chief.

If you remember we have another leader?? who came extremely close to talking himself into a world of shit by down-talking the army in this forum. I did not press the issue but I could have. I reviewed his earlier posts and saw that he was just someone looking for attention/spot light, not meaning his words at all. Post in this forum are actually court martial offenses if that individual is really the leader he claimed to be. Prison Time!!!

If you insult your boss on facebook you should not be surprised if your boss fires you. The President is the Commander, and chief of this nations military. If you insult your commander, and chief your getting thrown out of the military. He shouldn't be bitching. Im not cut out for the military.
