Apparently, there's a science to determine what "beauty" is. Never mind the fact that beauty is purely subjective and open to the individual's perception, this article apparently proves otherwise. This is where Florence Colgate comes in. An 18 year old from the UK, and a worker at a seafarer's store, she is proclaimed to have the most beautiful face in the world. For those who are wondering, here is a photo of her below: Now, here is a video from Good Morning America showing the young lady. Modest, kind, and not conceited, she's definitely someone to look out for. So I ask the lot of you the following: 1. Does she has the most beautiful face to grace Britain, let alone the planet? Why or why not? 2. Is she beautiful overall? Why or why not? Any additional comments would be most welcomed.
She is very pretty. If your judging beauty strictly by the presence of or absence of flaws, then I would say that she is definitely in the top 5% of very pretty faces. She has no obvious flaws that I can see. However, her face is distinctly "European". So comparing her face to the rest of the women of the world, is difficult to quantify because of racial differences. After all, what makes a pretty European face might not be the same for Non-European faces. I would also like to see her do a range of facial expressions. Because some people look good smiling, but are weird looking when they make other facial expressions. So, if it's a one or the other choice. I will have to vote no on most beautiful in the world.
Check out a very interesting documentary on Netflix called 'The Face" talks about beauty, etc. They've done several studies, internationally and across cultures, and found that "beauty" is not relative - it is universal, due to the "golden ratio" in regards to the proportion of features, etc.
I think there is nothing to critisize..this woman is absolutly beautiful. The most beautiful women anyway look nearly the same (as quato said, Beauty of face and body is measurable), just the skin tone and the hairs are different, but a good visagist can change that.. Personally everybody has its own taste, which type of person is the most beautiful, small "faults" ( i.e. the mole by Cindy Crawford) can be pretty attractive, too. For me, she isn't the most beautiful woman, but of course very beautiful in the line with many others, too. I must look, if I can find the website again, where you could upload your face to see, how you would look with two identically side of the faces
Very beautiful woman no doubt but as far as the notion of the Most Beautiful Face In The World. Neh. That is a purely subjective notion, in that humanity has too many variations to narrow it down to something like that. How does one objectively determine such a quality and not have it fitted into a Western ideal of beauty in this case. The idea of beauty/features are often a cultural acceptance of what is promoted to us. I mean there are billions of people on earth and thus too simplistic for me to think it can be narrowed down to 1 face.
Beauty is just as much environmental as it is scientific. Different people have different personal taste.
umm She looks beautiful, but there is no most beautiful face just like there really isn't a greatest or best. Its the laws of Mastery- its asymptote. Meaning even if you get close to mastery, you will never achieve mastery. You can get close to perfection but you will never achieve true perfection. If your the strongest right now, someone will be born and will be stronger than you. Its weird when the media and groups try to generalize humanity, but humanity in general is very unique and abstract- its never concrete.
This. ^ Cute as a button, yes. Most beautiful. No way. Most beautiful to me is when someone just takes my breath away.
She is very beautiful but i dont think in the world .. i dont think anyone is .... everyone different and fine different features beautiful
She's very beautiful, but I don't think she's the MOST beautiful. Her lips are weird and distracting to me (maybe it's how she "holds" them??). I absolutely believe that science is wrong about this whole beautiful thing. Beauty really is not only subjective but it's based on more than just what your face looks like. AND do women need more reasons to be self hating and insecure??? Why is it only women they're focusing on? Fucking rude, if you ask me.
LMFAO!!! Dude you are priceless man I swear. As for the video, no she's not the most beautiful in the world. As other people have stated, the studies is primarily established by what greek standard of the human body is for the ideal look, but their scientific method is of course eurocentric. This aspect is further seen when it comes to art, as many artist who learn about the body when asked to drawn from memory can really only draw caucasian individuals realistically, as the science as to how the body is form to draw is primarily eurocentric. I even remember in my life drawing class when my teacher broke down the proportions that he said that these were primarily focused on caucasian individuals and that to do different ethnicity you have to make changes to the original form.
