Romney gave millions to charity. Biden gave $369

I mean in the strict definition, not the moral one, of the word. Some of it was, but some of it was allowed under the law, which would have been criminal without recent deregulation signed into law under Clinton and Bush.

For example, the financial "reform" allowed the mingling of investment research and underwriting and investment bank functions which were supposed to be separate to prevent conflicts of interest and lies in prospectuses and market information. So technically it wasn't illegal, although highly immoral.

Illegal actions include banks forging signatures to speed up foreclosures and deny consumers the right to reclaim their property. So it was a mix of both types of activity.

Yes I know, which was my point. (Obviously since he's in Office)

Look at TDK's comment. He better understand if Romney takes Office, he's deluding himself if he thinks 'these fucking idiot (Left) babies" won't also blame Romney for anything and everything....and he better not complain when "these fucking idiot Right babies" will point back to Obama. What a fun never-ending circle-jerk.

The left is no where near as bad as the right

True the left will blame Romney if he gets into office for any perceived fuck ups that happen, but there are those on the left who are also quick to blame Obama and others on the left for not doing enough and fucking up as well. The right, just from my POV of course, never seem to place blame or take responsiblity for any fuck ups that come from their side. Some way or another it always seems to be the fault of the weak minded and spineless on the left.

Great observation! Absolutely agree with you on that. Very little(or none) Party introspection or accountability placed upon their Party.

orejon4, I wish more people understood this.

In the 80's when Reagan took office, things weren't so great but they were on the up swing. You could come out of high school, get a job, work hard and build a nice life for yourself and your family. Often you could work in the factory and make more money than your teachers back in high school. You could send your kids to a public school and know they would get a great education. Gas was cheap.

About that time conservatism started to take hold. It was heralded as the solution to all of the ills that liberalism's "Great Society" had either caused or failed to address. History shows us conservatism could not deliver on it's promises. And, at the very least, made things worse.

Fast forward to today and even if you have a college diploma, it's still a struggle to live the American dream. My parents worked as care givers in mental facilities. These were not positions that required special training. They worked a typical 40 hour work week. Yet, they were able to raise a child, purchase two homes in safe neighborhoods, three good running vehicles (a new car every five years), and take yearly vacations. Plus, they had really great health insurance. A young couple today, fresh out of high-school (hell, my mother never made it past the 8th grade) could not do what my parent's did.

Our school system is a joke. Our students are steadily falling behind other countries. Charter schools, as a whole, are no better than the public schools they've replaced. And, they don't have to take disabled or mentally challenged kids.

Where I live gas is $4.37/gallon for regular unleaded. Where are our alternatives?

If conservatism was so great, why have things gotten this bad? Notice, I said "conservatism" not Republican. Because Dems have basically embraced a lot of conservative principles. It's more about ideology than party affiliation. In all due actuality, Obama is further right than Clinton. And Clinton was pretty centrist. Neither are, or were, classically liberal.

There is something I learned about in school called, "Occam's Razor." Which basically means the answer with the easiest explanation is correct. So, I apply that to what I've seen happen to this country since conservative ideals began to really take a hold, the only conclusion I can come to is conservatism doesn't work for the average working man. One need only look at the state of our country for evidence.

I think the Bible teaches us to know a tree by the fruit it bares. After 30 years of conservatism, financial planners are telling people owning a home may not be such a great goal. In my opinion, that's some bitter tasting fruit.

This and co-signs all around and jaisees and stuff.

But you know...since the rich don't carry this country on their backs and the average working American does..it's not like they have to stop to think about it. The tax payers clean up the mess.

I think the saying used to be money talks and bullshit walks. Not it seems the two are so closely related that not only are they in bed together but every time they have sex...we all get fucked.

Your attitude is just as ghetto as theirs is, son. Immature, self serving, and materialistic. And we aren't even going to bring up the lack of respect for others. How are you better than those fools again? Oh yeah. You gets money. Hood mentality like a mother fucker.......

I hear conservatives say that, but I never see any policies addressing this issue. I see them trying to cut public assistance. However, I have yet to see
a plan for helping those who can not help themselves. They go in with a meat clever when a scalpel is called for.
