Yeah but most people in professional sports are elite level athletes. You don't commonly have rookies running that shit though. Very weird and can't last in my opinion. As soon as fights have purses of 5 mill or more you're going to see dudes who make your Jones look like some white belt at the Y
lmao actually...the money is the reason why guys like Jones, and Overeem, and Silva are around. Jones may not be as decorated as either one of them (did he even play sports in college, lol), but he's still talented and can only get better. When he dismantled long-time legend Shogun Hua, I was shocked. I never seen him get embarrassed like that before. Jones is like a freshman WR, starting all four-years of his college career. Doesn't happen very often, but when it does it amazes people, because theyre so young and can only improve. Speaking of Overeem, I want to see him fight again. His level of striking is ridiculous.....definitely going to weed out the people, who thought MMA fighters didn't have to know how to box. Everyone's getting crisp hands now..even Damian Maia. He's not the best, but he's definitely improved since his horrible showing against Silva. That was the fight Dana White was in flames over, because Damian just sat on the ground waiting for Anderson to go into his guard, while anderson waited for Damian to get up and box.
Anderson Silva has that title i love him..he's a brotha and all..but shit i just wanna see someone knock him out, so the fights can be exciting again tired of watching him one-punch KO guys in the first round
so true lol. Best fighter in MMA pound for pound. Gives my short ass some hope lol. Him and GSP. GSP is an Oyama warrior to the core.
i love gsp too mentioned before that he blew his ACL, because he was scheduled to rumble Condit i think BJ penn was great for his time, but this shit has seriously evolved. Just because you got your jiu jitsu black in 2 or 4 years, doesn't mean shit now against these hungry mothafuckas lookin for that 5 mil, lol his last opponent swoled BJs face the fuck up...i never seen BJ take strikes like that before...shiiiet
what's up with this UFC on Fox shit anyway? i miss all the corner talks and walk in music you get when watching the PPV stuff. :smt019 i guess by putting the stuff on fox, he's not relying on the PPV income, which is being heavily offset by people that aren't ordering and are just downloading the shit off the internet Dana White may just be a genius if this stuff picks up steam on network TV.
Suga is +400. Im really thinking about taking the plunge and throwin at least a hundred on him. Its all about getting through that reach with ill intention. Rampage couldnt do, Machida came close.
yeah really Suga upset will get people a lot of money Jones atm is a fucking beast..and he's still just a kid he doesn't take a lot of damage and has PLENTY of years ahead of him
I think we're going to see just how tough Jones is in this fight, how he reacts to constant pressure None of these outcomes would surprise me Jones by sub Jones by decision Rashad by KO
this is definitely going to sell out just like silva/sonnen i like rashaad..but at the same time you have to have lots of respect for jones when two people like that fight..:smt119
either way that's a big money fight my prediction for tonight Jones over Evans by KO Jones uses complete striking...Evans and Rampage always had trouble with guys that kick as well as they punch add in that reach advantage and there really is no fight
-agreed -I think Rashad is going to try to get inside that reach and close the distance, put 'em against the cage, make it a grinding, grueling, ugly fight. I have Jones by submission though.
Yep, the key for Jones is to not get hit in a brawl. I kept it modest and only put $75 on Rashad to win $280. :smt045
Rashad really couldn't close the distance.(He only shot once, I believe?) Like others who have fought, he to got caught standing in front Jones, watching. Tbf, Jones really changed the fight with those short (standing) elbows, and he pushed the pace, tired Evans but, as Shad said, Jones was very tricky and played a smart game Dan Henderson is next, and as always, Hendo always has a punchers chance.
