http://harndenblog.dailymail.co.uk/...-gave-millions-to-charity-and-the-taxman.html What a great guy Romney is. Biden...not so much. Only $369 dollars??? What a joke!:smt042
Apples to oranges. Obviously Romney makes more money, so of course he could afford to donate that kind of money to charitable causes. Don't see how this is newsworthy either.
I hope he donated some of that money to Homeless causes because when Romney was with Bain Capital he fired many employees from the companies he took over.
Giving millions to charity is very impressive imo. And don't even get me started on how much Al Gore gave to charity. What a selfish dipshit:smt043
One of the comments under the article is so spot on. As always, republicans are generally generous with their money. Democrats want to be generous with YOUR money. lol so true
Again, if you're a millionaire or billionaire who can afford to donate to charity in the millions, then it's pretty much expected. But, the details aren't clear to be honest. He most likely forth most of his charitable work into the Mormon church. And to me, that's not showing much at all. Donating to religious institutions doesn't really cut it. If there's a list of all the charities that he donated to that are for certain causes, then I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Also, I believe there are charity laws for people of a certain income level to donate money so they can get some tax break of sorts. Lastly, if you want to get deep into Gore's charitable past, then be sure it's up to date as opposed to being something back in the late 90s. Old news.
^^^ fair enough but the reason I posted this news was because so many fools on here say that Romney is a selfish asshole when in reality he is very giving.
If you're rich, then you're more likely to donate money. But as I also said, that if most of the donations goes to his church, then it's not showing any sense of genuine giving. Selfish may not the accurate word, but he is pretty much not in touch with the rest of the country, especially when dealing with the middle class and poor. Then again, if you want to be technical, then aren't we all generous in our donations to one another since we do it in taxes?
naw because gayle king was popping romneys collar about how on the downlow with his good works because his religion is about keeping your good works on ice. the dont believe in popping your own collar about your good works.
Don't care what 'excuses' are given, there is NO EXCUSE for a paltry $369 from the VP. SMH. Even I give more.
You made the point I was going to make. Good post. Donating to your private cult doesnt make you charitable it makes you self interested douxhe
lol TDK I'm not saying you're wrong but how do you know he donated all of his charity to the Mormon church?:smt017 And I agree Bliss. Biden is a cheapskate.
You can check out this link: Romney donated millions to Mormon Church. Plus, in the LDS community, you're suppose to give 10% of your annual income.
Thanks for the link. But I'm sure he also donates to other causes and not just his "cult" I dont know why you guys are all over Romney's jock yet have no problem with Biden's pathetic ass.
Haha gotcha. I actually dont know any Mormons but hear they are extremely nice. I need to see the Book of Mormon (which was created by the guys behind South Park).
I'm sure he does, but the total donations outside the Mormon church would be equal to Biden donated to charity. Also, Biden's not a rich person. When senator it was between $60K-300K, which made him the least wealthy person in the Senate. He's receiving around $300K annually for being VP. Should I excuse him for being cheap and not donating more? No. However, I do feel it's a bit disingenuous for anyone to compared a multimillionaire's income to someone who doesn't make as much. Instead of knocking on Biden's paltry donations with his paltry income, compare Romney to Kerry, who is one of the wealthiest politicians. That's a bit more fairer.
Yeah...I noticed that. Boggling to me. Gotta separate the political hate and stop defending the obvious. But that's where you run into issued on both ya'll sides. Which is why I'm a moderate.
Great show but tickets are crazy expensive and difficult to get. 250 a ticket and the waiting list is crazy. I had book months in advance
