Kenneth Chamberlain, a Vietnam war veteran, was killed after cops answered a medical alert he accidentally triggered. Although Chamberlain asked police to leave, they forced their way into his apartment and eventually shot and killed him. The autopsy shows that he was not facing officers when he was shot.

Why in the world would the cops have to force their way into the apartment of someone who triggered a medical alert device? And tasing someone with a known heart condition??? It doesn't make any sense! And if it was a medical device, why weren't EMT's called as well? Much of this makes no sense to me.

 

Autopsy shows he wasn't facing them when shot. I hope his family sues the hell out of the police department.
