If some of these billionaires want to pay more taxes then whats stopping them?
Guys like Buffet and others that feel so guilty about being rich can redistribute their wealth if they want to.

A lot of these rich & successful Republicans worked their asses off most of their life and want to keep their hard earned money. I don't blame them either.

the law. you can pay more. why should they if the law allows them to reduce their rate? thats like a football team rejecting a new rule that allows one more time out in a half. HUH? In Iggy's voice" you shouldnt take that new time out because ity destroys the integrity and tradition of the game". you have to be an idiot with that kind of come back.

when the right has no argument they just pull shit out their ass

Hard earned? Lets be fair and honest the vast majority of these dudes made money risking other peopkes money or being over paid for paper pushing. These guys arent mining coal 12 hours a day. Hard working? Lmao smh

TDK, true some of these guys are products of lucky sperm (nepotism)
But there are some really hard working guys that run companies and are damn good at it (working long hours, staying away from their families etc et)
Not all of them are these evil fat cats like you seem to think

I read or saw something with Buffett a good while back with him talking about how just having the rich pay their fair share would alleviate a lot of budget woes. He used numbers and stats but seriously ........if it's their fair share then it would be..........fair. :smt102 Between that and the corporations that make a lot and pay nothing or close to it .......it's sickening.

I definitely dont think that most are evil just players in the game of unchecked capitalism.
I dispute the idea that they're hard working or their work counts as mch as they get paid for it.
Ive done a corporate job and Ive done back breaking labor in college and I nevet worked hatder than when I had move heavy ass boxes at a retail store. Working in an air conditioned building with computers and asistants may be time consuming and stressful at times but its rarely hard work. The input rarely ever matches the output espe ially in businesses where you more or less delegate others to task. Ive yet to see the hedge fund manager who truly earned hundreds of millions of dollars. You can call themucky or even some of them smart but hard working is debateable for most of them.

Come on now thats just silly logic. Sure there are hard "back breaking" jobs that require lots of work like coal mining BUT there is more responsibility & demand for CEOs that run businesses. Lets not try to discredit them just cause they don't do hard labor. They put in lots of hours and make executive descisions a lot of the time.

business owners have more to lose than the worker does...depending on how the business is classified

They delegate responsibilty and unlike every other profession on earth they are never held accountable in fact they can bring a company to bankruptcy and their punishment is a multimillion dollar parachute package. Do they play the game well? Yes. Work hard? Definitely not

Not saying they work harder(but a lot of them do);) but they know how to make money and a lot of them are very smart.

you can tax the heck out billioniares who ship american jobs over seas, are cheap & do not provide their employee good benefit but don't raise mine. I already pay plenty as is. Didn't Obama pay less tax than his secretary, she made 95 G, supposedly he made > $765,000 last yr.

I love how conservatives claim biblical principles but forget about the one that say to whom much is given, much is expected.

Lets look at the practicality of the whole situation. If millionaires and billionaires paying lower taxes than the average man (or woman) were good for the country, why are we in the mess we're in now?

Furthermore, if you look back at American history, every time time we have lower taxes and less regulation we have a sharp boom followed by a crushing bust (the Great Depression).

Look at the 80's. Conservatives love Reagan and generally view it as a great and prosperous time for our country. Taxes were higher under Reagan than they are now. It's the best thing for our country when the rich pay their FAIR share of taxes.

Conservatives seem gloss over those inconvenient bits of history.
