    It's working in Switzerland. Instead of putting people in jail (what also costs a lot of money), they can go in therapy. Till a place is free ,addicted persons can get methadon and in heavy cases, even cocaine or heroin, by doctors. Re-integration with methadon is possible, so that they can live and work again, pay taxes and don't live by social financial help- and crimes to finance their addiction is minimal, too.

    Marihuana, is of course not that dangerous, but I think somewhere you have to draw the line.

    Important is to go hard against the trade, they get punished like mass-murderers.

    In germany, they punish drug-addicts. I find that idiotic.

    Then you SMOKED POT. What you meant to say, "I tried pot years ago, but not now."

    I say, NAY.

    Too easy for irresponsible adults to smoke around kids, and most companies will NOT allow Pot Only Smoking section no matter if it's medical.

    I don't want my boss or supervisor judging my performance while he/she is high.

    This is a law suit wanting to happen.

    If I had proof my boss was constantly drunk during my evaluation, of course.

    I guess everyone who say "Yay" wants companies to stop drug testing their employees. I personally would like a worker who is sober and have a clear mind when they are in a factory making food, cell phones, cars and such.

    I don't, . . . just sayin'.

    "Don't Take Drug Test if You Know You'll Fail"

    Here’s the takeaway for job seekers.

    "Many companies are using drug tests these days as a way to weed out employees. Be sure to find out BEFORE you apply if the company is going to ask you to take a drug test to avoid any embarrassment."

    Not sure I fully understand. Addicts in Switzerland go to doctors to not get cured of their addiction, but to have a regulated dosage given to them by the doctor, keeping the living as addicts?

    And yeah, drug addicts do get fucked over as far as sentencing.

    Yes.

    If they legalize it there probably will be a period of instability (overuse/drug abusers, crazy protests etc.) but once there is more acceptance and people finally get used to it(or when the government tells them to f*ck off, go back to bible class and mind their own business) I believe there can be order within legalization. Not saying there will be, every country is different, but it is possible.

    Pot itself is less harmful than tobacco;
    If you're allowed to grow your own maybe it will reduce organized drug crime;
    Tax = more money for government = great! You need it, with all the crazy economical shit going on;
    Things that are legal are less interesting (especially for difficult, influential teens)

    I was born and raised in a country where it's legal but also lived in countries where it wasn't legal for a few years (US and UK). I noticed they used more drugs than my Dutch friends. When we talked about it we all agreed that it's probably because the Dutch are open minded about it, get lectures about drugs at school and because it's 'normal' for us it's not an exciting, badass kind of thing to do.
    When you're able to talk about drug use with your family, friends and teachers it's less likely to get out of control.

    Anyway, just my 2 cents

    If they are irresponsible adults they are bad parents anyway. How about parents who smoke and drink excessively around their kids?

    Alcohol is legal and I don't think your boss is judging your performance while he/she is drunk? You can legalize it but companies can forbid their employees to use/ be under the influence at work(same with alcohol).

    Normally you have to wait till you get a place in a clinic, it can take yrs. Two friends of mine, were even sent to Spain and anotherone was in Singapore....This methadon program helps to prevent HIV, Hepatitis C, prostituion, crime and death. Switzerland is one of the richest countries of the world and how can it be that addicted kids (our kids) are living and dying on the street?

    Some people just cannot be cured (longtime addicts i.e.) for them there exists the possibilty of a medical daily dose of their drugs and a medical observation

    All three are today business owners with employees and when you see them, you would never believe their past

    In general, I have to say "I don't care, whether Marihuana is legalized or not"- it just seems to me weird that all countries want a cleaner, healthier country and citizens, talking about weight and biological food,try to stop smokers and alcohol- and suddenly to legalize Marihuana?

    People that like to smoke pot, will do it anyway, people that can handle, will have no problems with it, others, who cannot handle will try different drugs and will need our help. Drugs exist, no matter what or whether we legalize or not.

    For me enlightenment, understanding and help for addicts and their families is more important

    No, absolutly not. We are all humans, we all have weaknesses and aren't perfect. I only have problems, when it happens too often (Too often is i. e. every day) or if I have to see that other drugs are an option, too.

    Around me a lot of people use cocaine,live and work, normally- that is something I wouldn't tolerate in a relationship
