Got PMP?

Does anyone on this forum have their PMP cert or looking to obtain theirs?

I start a week long class soon and wondering what your thoughts are in regards to how its helped your career and/or salary?

 

I don't but would like to as I am a project manager/consulting in big pharma and I think it may be helpful. I do all of the tasks included in their syllabus on the daily. Please, let me know what you think?

 

I'm not getting it

I'm not trying to get mine yet. I'm still working on my degree and I know a bachelors is a requirement. I wish you the best of luck though brother!! Extremely High level IT professionals I come across around here will only obtain/retain a PMP and CISSP.

she had flash cards and everything to prepare for the big test

 

Yeah I've seen quite a bit of CTO's and CIO's with just those two certs and nothing else. I am considering a masters but its still up in the air.

 

Hmm, Interesting. These days things are more strict I believe. I've seen director jobs at some companies REQUIRE mba.

With proper planning(hahahaha) I'll have both by the end of the year then see where I go from there. I'd rather have MBA personally so that I am not limiting myself in case a promotion comes up.
