BTW, the New Black Panther Party isn't a 'real' organization. THey are hyped by Fox as some militant Black group, but they have no relation to the Black Panthers of the 1960s and don't have a national membership.

You've got about 10-20 guys calling themselves the 'new' Black Panthers and conservatives are shook.

I just hate hearing them mentioned like they represent some distinct political constituency.

 

Well that makes it worse then, doesn't it. Giving press conferences and flashing Dead or Alive posters. Like I said none of 'em, from the Left to the Right, are doing Tray any favors.

 

From the moment Zimmerman decided to arm himself in his capacity as Neighborhood Watch bulldog, in a county with a police department that racially profiles... and from the second Zimmerman fired the fatal shot, Justice went out the window for Trayvon.... The ensuing botched investigation, the media circus, and those groups seeking to capitalize on this tragedy for whatever reason, further darkened an already muddy pond or is it really an ocean?

 

No question.

 

How did CNN and NBC edit the 911 calls?

How do the New Black Panthers affect anything? They no lobbying power? Just a bunch of loud mouths with no political power or relevance.

 

Not sure about CNN but NBC has since fired a producer for editing the 911 call.

Without further research, I can't comment on any insight into CNN's doctoring bits and pieces of events surround Trayvon's death, but NBC has found one of it's producers guilty of skewering the facts/evidence in regards to the 911 calls Zimmerman made....

I also believe that many of groups who took sides in the aftermath of this tragedy did nothing to further the cause of justice for a young man gunned down in the dawn of his life... A "bounty"??? Really??? The "new" Black Panthers may have done nothing more than piss on a gasoline fire by going "thug" and polarizing an already racially divided nation... Their mere insertion (publicly) mobilized the counter causes...

Groups with firm beliefs, one way or the other are coming out of the woodwork to support "their" cause/side, while a body sits cold in the ground...

The media on both sides found traction in Trayvon's murder and has effectively spun their message to appeal to every and any audience that would be otherwise following Survivor or Jersey Shore or whatever program people normally devote attention...

In the end, even if charged, Zimmerman cannot and will not be tried because of the media circus that has tried this case on skewered fact, personal interest, and viewer share....

Everyday, new information comes out, contradicting previously released information... Leaks and lawyers are trying this case in the press, while the Feds have been mum...

Without trying to pick apart personal opinions and interpretations of everything that we think we know about this case, why don't we just wait for the facts....

 

As far as I know only NBC is guilty of editing the Zimmerman 911 call to make it sound as if he volunteered Trayvon's race instead of being prompted by the dispatcher.

Doesn't change the facts, but it doesn't help when a major network shades the intent of a murderer who's believed to have committed a hate crime.

Here is one link on CNN. It reports that after enhancing the audio again, but removing the external noises that they didn't do the first time, CNN's experts have switched their stance from Zimmerman uttering "coon" to "cold."
