I have no idea why this thread is so hard to find. Maybe because the search makes you have more than 3 letters to search a word?? I will answer your question about my dog here so next time I can just refind this post/thread easier. He's a wire fox terrier.
Rudi (Rudolpho) I've bought in Milano- a very beautiful Doberman, but he got brain tumor, when he was 3yrs and 6 months... Roy- a colleague asked me, whether I would take a Doberman, because he was mistreated and the owner organises dog fights. First I didn't want, but then I've said yes, after I've heard about the situation more detailed. Roy and me were working with help of an animal psychiatrist/trainer on trust to human beings, because he was extremely afraid. Around 1 yr later, someone broke into my house and my dog was gone. I was calling the police, but they were just laughing about me, because except the dog nothing was missing. I wasn't angry, I was furious, out of control. I hired a private investigator in Switzerland and Germany (the two places I knew this shit former owner has friends). I called all the big newspapers in Switzerland and offered a high ransom for anybody who finds my dog, who can say anything to find him. I was awake day and night, followed all informations, people gave me. TV called me, radio stations invited me for an interview. Then I received calls of guys that threatened me, I shall stop that. So I reactivated some people I normally don't call, but they loved my actions, they love their animals, too. Then, one day I got a tip from a man, who told me about a car with poland plates, he has seen in Zürich at this special date with a Doberman inside...I knew the father of the former owner is living in Poland, so six people were driving to him and from there on, all was going fast. We checked the house and I've seen my dog inside, we broke into the house, I took my Roy and we jumped into the car. Unfortunatly, my dog was dead two weeks later- all that was simply too much. Already, when we were driving home, I could see, how he was shaking, he was falling into an anaphylactic shock, the doctors in hospital tried to help, even his dog friends came for blood donation, but it was too late Then my Ex-husband bought Cooky, I didn't want him first, I had enough. Five months later we could see that he gets blind. It was more difficult, but also more intense, because of this special handicap. When he was 3 and a half yrs old, he got a glaucoma in his eye and we had to remove it. He has had a wonderful life till the age of 9. Happily, this time all was going smoothly.
