So a bunch of morons read a book, and ignored the authors description, and just pictured all white people. Then when they come to the conclusion that this white fantasy in their head wasn't true they are disappointed. This shows just how ignorant, and racist Americans are. So if characters are black they dont fit in well with a story or desirable to see on screen?

I swear racists always have this pathetic rediculous look on their faces the only people who cant tell are white but thats understandable because they never deal with the racist side until it comes out.

Really though the one thing that urks a racist is when it is exposed to their face that a black person is more competant, and better in ability then a white person. They go through a state of shock its so funny to watch. Thats why you saw the crazy reaction to Barrack Obama. Racists hate when their perfect whitewashed fantasy is ruined by clear logic.

Really? So you think all that ignorance and hate is all just to show off on the internet? No basis or origin for any of it from anything coming from how they perceive others in the real world?

Is it really? You seem to forget that not everyone thinks as you do. The attitude of this country as well as many others is that black people are other. In almost every single demographic on earth people with darker skin are treated like garbage by those with the lightest skin. Its called racial stratification and when you are at the top of that paradigm you don't tend to look down.
Here's something to ponder. Why is it that black children who go missing don't garner national attention? Maybe because as a whole the country doesn't deem missing black kids news worthy?
Or more recently the case of Treyvon Martin. It took a facebook campaign spear headed by that kid's mom in order to get what should be open and shut justice for that kid.
When the persecution is government sanctioned and media supported it shapes the attitude of the masses and even though there are individuals who might think as you do and many of the women on here the truth is the majority of this country has a very strong dislike for black people as a whole. Ever wonder why no other "racial" group is solely defined by their criminal element or on rare occasion their entertainers? Think about it my friend.

I said what I said because not EVERYONE hates black people, and not everyone HATES black people. To be sure, there are people who do hate. But "hate" is a very strong word and it's unfair to attribute that to most people, let alone everyone. And using the word "everyone" is just careless and wrong. If that were so, you would have no one but men to talk to on this forum.

PS You seem to forget that not everyone thinks the way you do either.

I've had it up to here with the whole some not all doctrine. I get the not every single person in this country doesn't hate black people but as a whole this country can't seem to get away from its mistreatment, mistrust, and down right abuse of the black populus. Hate is an appropriate word considering the miscarriages of justice carried out by coercive governmental regime. I'm not saying black people are without fault but we seem to be the group most fucked over by our own government. Maybe you're right. We're not hated we're disposal as far as this country is concerned.

My friend (I think shes becoming my gf...) told me about this when we went to see American Reunion last weekend. When it comes to race related things she is very naive, she didn't understand how people were like that at all. I honestly could care less because I don't really give 2 shits about The Hunger Games but the comments were atrocious. A lot of the comments really look just as naive as my friend not understanding, I guess there is a lack of exposure on their part. The comments are way more tamed than comments on youtube that promotes violence against blacks.
