And dont forget the all time "why I cant be reached line".... I turn my phone off after work. I told him I will replace his ass if I cant contact him. He got the memo!!
lol yeah you can't do that here 24 hour operation..if an emergency/disaster presents itself, they can make you come in....provided you're still in the same state and not in costa rica just one of those additional layers of job security as long as they can find a way to use you, u'll always have a job
You right. I was talking about me counseling one of my Officers who thinks its ok to not be able to be reached after he gets off of work. He told me that I cant reach him because he turns off his phone. That really pissed me off and if I could I think I would have fired his ass on the spot.
I don't understand this particular idea. I could never work in a place that didn't allow me to have a life outside of it. It's seems like somehow they feel they own your ass just because you work there. I understand that in some working conditions that's just how it is. Hospitals, police...shit like that. But I can't stand the type of jobs where you are the first person they call if they can't get it covered. GTFO. Call someone else. I ain't here to make your life easier when it's my day off.
I am under the impression that he is referring to the military. They do actually "Own Your Ass" (at least until you retire or ETS).
Sad You expect more leadership from your O's I think he'd get more respect if he put more priority into the mission Guess he's just there for the check
Yes. That's what I thought too. That's why I added the bit about it being part of some job requirements. I read not to long ago an article about what can get you fired and or in trouble at work. It was stuff that you would probably never even think of. The favor is definitely stacked toward bosses and owners. And the way the law runs its can be very tricky to stand up for your rights as an employee if you have dick for a boss that just wants to make your life hell for the fun of it.
There is nothing worse than having to go through that. Its like a slow torture and no one can hear you screaming.
Yep. BTDT. I was owed over 1 month and a halves wages. Denied because I quit over sexual harassment. It was for a large business chain. They have the money so they have the power. He told me that I could file with the labor board but that it would take a lot of time and energy to recoup my pay checks plus their legal team would file a counter claim and not only would I never win but it would cost more than it was worth to get the money. That's exactly why business is done the way it is in the united states. It favors the powerful while stripping the little ordinary people of their means to stand up for themselves when shady activity takes place. One of the reasons our capitalist system doesn't work and why 99% of the people who live under it are hella fucking pissed at the 1%.
Oh yeah! Down with those 99%ers. You know..those fuckers who carry the weight of the country on their backs and get taxed at something insane like 40% of their wages and have to really struggle to pay the bills and keep those kids feed. Fuckemall! I, OTOH, make like 1000 percent more than them every 2.5 seconds and only pay like, 11% on that shit. Plus I have a really good tax attorney who finds ALL sorts of wonderful tax loopholes and breaks for me. Plus, and THIS is the best part, the whole entire GOP is down with not only making me rich but keeping me that way. Oh, that reminds me, I need to have my people contact J Boners people so we can go play polo. Thanks! With all the pointless shopping I do for shit I will give less than two fucks about in 6 months I would have totally forgot. Well! Gtg...don't want to miss my flight to France. Haven't been to my 10th home in gay pariee! Feeling a little home sick. Ttfn....
When my boss is going on his little homophobic rants. I can't say to him that I've actually met his secret ex-boyfriend. ......who's a bit out of his league I might add.
Totally. The only reasons he wasn't outed 3 years ago is because I support the glbt community and they really frown on that. On top of that, this is really weird emotional dude and I believe 1,000 percent that he's suicide prone so I won't dare be the one to open his closet.
