Trayvon Martin's Murder

I tried to rep you for this one GQ Brotha but I have to spread it around first. I hope investigators get the FACTS to this one ASAP because the public and the families involved are already in turmoil. I would hate to see someone play vigilante again. Looks to me like it might turn out that way with Zimmerman.

 

Last thing, is it true that Zimmerman didn't even LIVE in the gated community where he was stalking Trayvon??

So tired of having to defend that point. Too many people think its solely about a black kid dying when its more about the kid recieving no justice after being profiled and murdered.

 

Hell, law enforcement doesnt even expend much effort investigating the homicide of Black men in urban communities,...look at Biggie and Tupac. You can probably count on one hand the number of white cops that have killed Blacks in a year compared to the thousands of Blacks who have murdered each other. Im not saying that either is okay, I just think the Black community needs to put shyte in perspective.

 

dude...if Trevon was murdered by a black neighborhood watchman....we wouldnt even know about this case. This is a bout racial profiling...nothing more.

 

I agree with you. 48% of our local homicide victims are Black males 18-25 alone. (The rest are still Black but dif age group, Hspanic, White, female, etc)

I think closest to your flying cow was Farrakhan's MMM in the 90's. It was a pretty powerful movement from start to finish.

He may have...he was very aware of recent burglaries, but I hear people had complained about him, too. The cops should have seen red flags just by the excessive times he called in people's "suspicious" behavior.

This is about unequal justice by system that I support with my tax dollars. This is not just about profiling or at least not on just Zimmerman alone.

ABC News has also learned that Martin was staying in Sanford at the time because he'd been suspended from Krop High School in Miami after being found with an empty bag of marijuana. He was staying at his father's fiance's house in Sanford.
Family spokesperson Ryan Julison confirmed to ABC News that Martin was suspended for an "empty baggy that had contained pot."

This part makes me mad. Zimmerman keeps looking better and Trayvon worse the way the media allows Zimmerman's people to paint it.

They keep allowing Zimmerman to tell and retell his side and he keeps angling it different so he is the one who appears victimized . And then the media uses every article to slam Trayvon yet again. Disgusting. The part of him being suspended is totally irrelevant to this story or the crime.

I agree wholeheartedly that we ALL need to move on with this. But I don't think that will happen until america owns up to it's shameful past. Which it never has. And I don't think it ever will. We tend to treat it as 'water under the bridge'.

Only one of these dudes was arrested for resisting arrest and assaulting a PO. Only one of them is DEAD.

If Trayvon had a sniff of any arrest in his young life, it would be all over the media already.

Imagine how this story would be spun if Trayvon was the one who had resisted arrest after fighting with a PO??

 

So? As we have come to learn for a while now, THIS is not a "Stand Your Ground' law case. Just waiting for the Wheels of justice for this murder to catch up...it will though.

 

I actually would clarify and say that this is global, it isn't only America.

Maybe if we were all one skin complexion, perhaps the world really would be a better place? Imagine if we could create a virtual world and try that out.

 

Zimmerman needs to be arrested. He murdered a 17 year old and who wasn't a danger to others and Zimmerman. This tragedy is a wake up call to America because this country needs to deal with Racism.


My prayers go out to the Martin family and they have my support to bring Zimmerman to justice and be prosecuted by a jury of his peers.
