True true. In general I agree.

I will say in Philly's case, because its a strongly Black city, lots of elected and assigned positions of power are headed by Black people. We have plenty cases of justified self-defense where the defender is Black and they don't get charged, ESPECIALLY in home robberies.

 

One of the insidious effects of racism is that it affects members of the black community as much as it does whites. There are plenty of black people who share the racist, externally generated narrative that shapes mass perceptions of black people. This is often true of people in authority more generally. No one is immune.

 

Your statement stands true (to a degree) on its own merit. I'm curious though why you are/if you are applying it in response to my comment?, or if you were just making a general statement about the diversity and depths of racism's influence.
