I had a fun day today. i went to walmart to buy a new pair of sneakers and some new makeup stuff. Then I went to grab a frozen yogurt...it tasted nice. :) afterward, I went out to the recreation centre to go swimming for about 2 hours. It was fun! Tomorrow, I'm going to Beacon Hill Park and just hang around there...the scenery is amazing there. :D ^.^

Speaking of work, I have a new job! I am a gift wrapper now at Michael Hill Jewlers. Not much pay, but it's worth it. :)

So.. last night after I got back to my room, probably 2 minutes later I get a text, "I see u! This is Rick". I texted back, "Rick who?". He replied, "I can see you from the dj booth". Then 2 seconds later, "see.... this is why I can't marry u". I replied, "My name's Nicole, I think you got the wrong number, dude.".

Today, he texted me. "Nicole, my bad... I thought I had the rt number last night... lol". I replied, "It's okay! :) Did you reach who you were trying to reach?". I got, "Lol.... Nope.... Maybe it should have been u...."

I wish the random texts and phone calls I get from wrong numbers were as sweet as this.

To Bailout or Not To Bailout?

I'm on NationStates and for the first time, I'm actually asking for some advice on what I should do. Below is the issue, and the decision I'll make will determine whether the economy in my (fictional) country will increase or decrease.

So, if you were a leader, what would your propose?

    ------------------------------------------

A recent severe crash in the stock market of Novum Krisst and a plummet of the value of the Lux has brought the issue of government bailouts to the forefront of the national agenda.

    The Debate

    1. "We need to do something now! The people's welfare -- not to mention all my side businesses -- are in serious danger!" screams your finance minister Doris Rifkin. "We need an extensive support program for the businesses that make our country great, otherwise we might as well join ranks with those... third-world countries," he shudders. "Never mind that all the businesses on this list are owned by my relatives!"

    2. "You're talking about doing what!?" screams Jessica Christmas, a noted fiscal conservative and libertarian scholar. "Government bailouts won't solve anything. They'll only redistribute wealth to those the government happens to favor at that particular moment, while placing a crushing burden onto everybody else. The government must instead cut taxes across the board and axe all unnecessary social programs, particularly our welfare system."

    3. "This brings up an interesting point," remarks socialist author Chloe True. "Why do we allow businesses to become "too big to fail?" The solution, surely, is to break up businesses before they reach such a size that they threaten our economy. Imagine it: community-based businesses, run for the benefit of the little people, not faceless, money-grubbing investment banks! Is there really a reason corporations need to be big?"

We did 1st chakra dances tonight, wich is basically just percussions (sub-saharian african and arabic) and moving like an animal and on the ground, do sexual movements and beating your feet and stuff. My student asked me: seriously, were you dancing or were you "tarantuling"? LOL

I was running around like a crazy animal indeed :smt026
