I believe my word of choice to best describe and the existence around me as a whole would be...

Shit just got real. Seriously. Why? For some reason, I'm starting to question the very essentials of Arguments. Bam. Pow. Really? Why do people argue so roughly? We may/ may not know the answer. I sometimes wish that we could all get along. Of course, that might not be the case. Bam. Pow.

I think that's common with most places that have seasons and 40 degrees is mild. You have that warm Cali blood so that must have been freezing for you.

The high here yesterday was 62 degrees. It has been bouncing around the last week in the 60-70's. When it was 72 on Tuesday I decided that is the absolute perfect temp with the sun shining. So I have seen people in shorts and sleevless getting some sun except for the one day it was only in the 40's.

I know. The only thing I don't look forward to is things starting to grow on trees and set off my allergies. Going to try something I read. Spoon of local honey every day so there is pollen from local and you are supposed to build up a bit of immunity. Meh........maybe it won't help but can't really hurt either. We'll see. Never had allergies til last year. My sister and mom always had them bad and they took shots and my understanding is they had things in them that they were allergic to. So seems to be the same thinking.

Local honey does help. I used it for years until the old beekeeper couple I bought it from passed away. I haven't found anyone to replace them yet , & it's a noticeable difference in the severity of my allergies. I miss the good old days when I didn't have allergies, but I've been dealing with them since I was about 30 or so.

I landed Tuesday, it was splendid!!!.. Wednesday was awful! But I had to walk around in-between all the buildings on campus all day. Saw a lot of people w shorts that day sitting out at the little strip w the cafes.

Yes DK, Im spoiled and think everything below 55 is horrible:)

Lots of sun, no humidity and no bugs. Yeah......sure beats the heck out of the Illinois summers I grew up with. :p

Well, I am willing to try. I am allergic to tree stuff and of course my place is in a heavily treed complex. :( I could put it in my tea.......and have sweetness and a small dose of pollen. :)

I have been to California numerous times. Think I love it til I get in traffic and get the claustrophobia from too many people around when you go places. Colorado isn't perfect but it's pretty good.

Some parts of Cali are beautiful. The Monterey-Carmel-Pacific Grove area was my favorite duty station when I was married. We needed no A/C - the weather was balmy most of the time. The only thing I didn't like was that the mornings were often really foggy. Took until lunchtime alot of days before the fog burned off. If I had the chance (and the money), I would live there again in a heartbeat.

I've decided that I love hot yoga. I might marry it one day, I love it so much. 90 minutes of pure sweaty, stretchy, muscley, sighing bliss. Can't ask for more. :smt049:smt049
