As one of those friendly neighborhood democrats (and only because a real progressive party can't win here under current voting laws), I thank you for the recognition you gave me with those kind words. I now direct you to note the infrastructure projects I work on getting funding for to instead provide jobs, training and business opportunities, as well as the critical economic infrastructure that the 'Job Creators' gleefully accept the benefits of while preferring not to pay taxes for.
I don't hope your situation changes....what I'm saying is that given the tone in washington it could change and change fast. The republicans (especially the far right) are the first to cozy up to those minorities to get that vote...but once they do, they true colors come out. Just ask all the blacks and women and hispanics and LGBT people that USED to be republican. You are seriously trippin if you honestly think that ron paul or mitt romney or newt have your best interest at heart. They do not. They have their own best interest at heart and cater to the people who think that same exact way.
