exactly must say that when i lived in england, i was hated on quite a lot because i was australian. the english hate us because we're better at everyting and because they sent all their criminals to the land of wealth and toil, sunshine and good living
oh absolutely. in my office for example, when wimbledon was on and lleyton hewett lost i got constantly teased for it. same with cricket and rugby. i was constantly made fun of because of my accent, if i didn't understand something because it was different there to here, i was made fun of, i was called a convict. you name it and it was thrown my way. on the flip side, we aussies can give as good as we get by calling the english whinging poms
true dat. If it has been said then I will say it. africans look down on blacks in america. They dont look at them as true africans
I have never encountered that problem at all. Africans and African Americans...from the looks of things...we all get along like we've known each other for the longest time. Though, limited by scope, I have heard of Africans not liking black Americans in other parts like Houston and the D.C. area...and I think it's just the attitudes in general between one another. Black Americans making fun of Africans and vice verse.
Sorry for my english, And, forgive me if i'm wrong or irrelevant, but i rarely heard or read latinos say they don't want to be called Hispanics or white people say they don't want to be called caucasians. Yet, Caucasus is just a region in Europe and some people ( or they ancestors ) are not even native from the Caucasus, but it's not a big deal for them ( i guess ). Same thing for Hispanics, exept the spanish language, they don't have the same culture as spanish people but they don't "rejects" their origins. From a european perspective ( I was born and raised in France, but my parents are africans, Cameroonians ), sometimes, i have the feeling that some Black people in America ardently rejects their "African side" ( lol ) and don't want to be associated to Africa or anything that come from Africa. But, i can understand why. In Western Countries, Africa it's just negativity ( poverty, third world, etc.. ). Nobody want to be associated with things like that ( Well, it's not the case of people from Africa here, we just love our Africa and africans culture ) Anyway, i just want to say, it's not a big deal if black americans don't want to be associated with Africa, that's their choice and i can understand that. But they don't need to look down at Africans culture or africans ( i'm not saying someone have done that here ).
