with that philosophy "tim tebow" wouldn't be a household name...he is no where near being a superbowl quality quarterback...yet...but i would venture to say that he gets more airtime than any other quarterback in the league let's not underestimate what a fanbase means to a player like "lin" you will be seeing some endorsements very soon...that just might mean "shit" afterall
Teabow is gonna be the guy they use to talk about. If all you have is hype you're soon forgottena great example out here was Mike Piazza for the Mets or Harold Minor for the Heats. People who had a bunch of buzz but didn't do shit.
Judging by how fast his jerseys are selling, it won't be a surprise to see him get some sponsors soon.
Exactly my point. He showed a lot of promise but fell tremendously short. Not saying Lin wont be good just don't want to see the kid have all that pressure to live up to. I just want see his game develop.
do you really like ww? i don't think you do...not genuinely...i think you have some serious identity issues and you come here and just shit on whoever you feel should be your target for the day...quite frankly i think if anyone is racist it's you...do i think you like fucking around with little white girls that you do not consider your equal...absolutely...
Identity issues? Ok miss third person who likes to tell it like it is lol. I prefer to date ww I don't worship them I know some of you have a problem recognizing the difference. And I don't fuck around with little girls, that sentence is slanderous and inciteful. Do I like wome under 50? Yeah sorry if that rules you out but that's what I'm into. I have love and respect for women I'm with but I don't give those things away just because a woman is white. That would be racist.
lippy will pass...he isn't worth the argument...i have no idea who he is even talking about...lippy isn't 50 yet...couple more years and some change...
Recognizing someone for being outstanding or unique in a field where they are under represented isn't racist. IMO it's a celebration of this country's diversity that Lin is getting so much shine. In the NBA, it's 'uncommon' to see an Asian player who can ball. Add to that he's a point guard, on top of that put he's a Harvard grad, and for the cherry on top he can throw down with both hands(!) and he's set the NBA record for scoring for a player's first five games as a starter. There's nothing wrong with recognizing differences, such as an Asian playing in the NBA. What would be racist would be to assume that an Asian can't be good at basketball at the pro level. I have no idea how some people believe believe to recognize physical differences is 'racist'. Racism only comes into play when you make personal and character assessments about someone because of their skin color or ethnicity. Floyd Mayweather is a bigot AND he has an 'issue' with Asians. :smt039 It's bizarre to me that anyone is taking his opinion on ANYTHING as being relevant.
For my part, I wish the kid well and hope that he puts some of his earnings aside and does great things after his career is over. And maybe, just maybe, some of that will rub off on his teammates. It would be nice to see fewer broke former athletes/musicians in their old age.
Dude has an economics degree from harvard and has command of millions of dollars. He could be the first billion dollar athlete turn hedge fund manager ever.
Bullshit! It's because he hails from a nation of shorts fucks, that's why, lol. So Taiwan, STAND UP! I know how sensitive you get over something like that though, so you can stay seated.
And has more spunk in her little pinky than any woman he could ever...ah nevermind, lippy knows, and we all know, which is all that matters. :smt052
