That is the paradoxical thing though, when you are a part of that celebrity, media lifestyle every action you take is scrutinized with no breathing space to just relax.

Its a double edged sword, celebrities are by nature in the spotlight and it is what keeps them relevant, at the same point in time when they screw up it can become fodder for the media to serve to the masses.

Its true what they say no amount of money and fame can bring you happiness if you are not comfortable with yourself as an individual.

All the money and fame serves to do is magnify your personal issues in life and worst of all you are often surrounded by folks who are sometimes questionable in their motives for being around you.

They might sell details of your life to National Enquirer or TMZ for a buck, so you never know. who is who.

Very disheartening to see two talented performers like Whitney and MJ's lives end in such fashion.

 

I know. We'll be hearing about this for at least the next week, with every sordid detail included. Shame. I wish the best for her daughter and family.

 

RIP Whitney. I have and will always love your music.

Ilustrating how significant Joyce and Whitney's covers were, Seventeen used a White Man 4 different times to grace their cover (1945 thru 1960), before they ever decided to use a Black female.


They finally put A Black male on (Will Smith) in '92.

that would not be a wise move on his part...there are many firsts for women both black and white...being on the cover of seventeen magazine in the early 80s much less the cover in the early 70s for a black woman was history making...that magaizine at the time was geared towards white teen girls...period, end of story

The black men doing well thread is served as an inspirational thread exposing many of us to something that is rarely if ever celebrated even by many of you ww on here. BM known for something in life other than sports or entertainment. Their race is relevant to the subject matter. Your mentioning of "us" losing too many talented black people had absolutely nothing to do with her death. It was abritrary and unnecessary. Like I said before we never mourn anyone like else like that. Amy Whinehouse basically died the same way and it was a loss for music not to white people. Like I said it becomes bothersome to always to see our accomplishments as a people always attached to our race. Like mentioning she was one of the first black women on seventeen serves what purpose? I guess its another situation where understandably you aren't going to understand because this something that wont nor does happen to you.
Like I've said before it would be nice to be a person period and not a black person but whatevs carry on.
