I'm not Buddhist but am considering participating in some of their stuff. I went to a meditation class and felt more peace than I have ever felt as a Christian.

I hope you share as you get into this and learn. I don't know any Buddhists nor have I ever read on it. I am curious though.

The problem with Christianity are the jack-legged preachers like this one here...

However, I have been to a Buddhist temple and monastery. I meet a few monks while in Hong Kong. Couldn't talk to them though.

Went to the seminar, and learned a lot. The sect of Buddhism I'm practicing is called Nichiren Buddhism. It involves a lot of chanting.

There we all sorts of people there, Blacks, White, Asians, Hispanics, all chanting the daimoku. It was really nice. Felt at peace, and at ease, and I've decided to give this Buddhism an honest try.

    That's about it....

    I'm reviving the dead.

    Im Buddhist. I heart Gutama!
There's differnt levels (or vehicles) but they all serve the same purpose. Personally I'm refuged into the karma kagyu and I don't practice as much as I should. I should work on that. I'm a better person when I do.

I have been reading up on Zen Buddhism and consciously applying some meditation techniques as part of my stress management regimen, but as an atheist, I have never looked at the spiritual aspects of the philosophy.

I am not a Buddhist per se, but I apply a lot of the teachings to my daily life and subscribe to a lot of the Buddhist ideology. I think it makes me a better person when I keep it in the forefront of my mind.
