He's suppose to be a warrior god and most warriors usually wear armor & helmets. They have him in the armor so give him the helmet too. And even with the helmet you still see his face, even more so than Captain America.

now that i think about it, the helmets were one of the coolest things in Lord of the Rings

    need more helmets

as for faces...interesting that Clint doesn't have his covered either

it's like they purposely set up a ratio to give the equal amount of covered/uncovered faces

Thats the trade off when they produce live action movies based on comics. The producers think the non-comic fans want to see the "name brand" actors' faces, so they take the masks/helmets off way more often, then they do in the comics.

For example in the three Spiderman movies he has the mask on for only about a quarter of the film time. In contrast, the comics have gone 6 month story arcs without ever seeing SpiderMans take off his mask.

Um......Somebody got their Batman mixed into my Spiderman movie. Seriously this trailer makes this movie seem like a Marvel version of The Dark Knight, and I don't approve.

    Econ 101

when one business is making money distributing a certain product, other businesses will enter with something similar

    :)

I'll probably see it because I like movies, but it being a reboot of a highly successful franchise shows some seriously lack of originality

why not just keep moving the story farther? Introduce some villains we haven't see on the big screen and maybe give spidey a partner

I wasn't for the reboot/re-launch or whatever they call it, at first. However, after watching the recent trailer and some other videos of the making of this film, I can honestly say that I'm all for it. It seems like it is going to stick more with the roots of Spider-Man and dig a little deeper into the mythos of the character that general fans know not of, like Gwen Stacey, Peter's parents and web-shooters lol. Not to mention some good ole' wisecracking!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to it!

    interesting ud mention that

i cant remember any of the previous films that had spidey cracking jokes and being an overall humorous person

Yeah, I think the first one had him cracking some jokes here and there, the second movie had him crack one joke at Doc Ock in the bank scene if I remember, other than that his 'prankster' side didn't really shine that much. Though I still believe that Spider-Man 2 is one of the best out there for action to drama ratio. The third one was great visually, but was a big let down in retrospect, the wasted potential for that movie blew away in the wind like Sandman did at the end...

I was disappointed. I expected too high. I expected batman under the redhood quality and got .... this. I really mean no disrespect to the guy who this movie was dedicated to. I'll miss the man. With him dies a lot of diversity. Static shock will never see the light of day again. :(

I didn't like cyborg being a punching bag. I didn't like his canon. i didn't like that superman stood up to krytonite so easily. I loved the concept of the story which I will not spoil for others. Batman always thinks he has a trick up his wing. lol.

I liked that superman could not save the day!

although I like cyborg and think they need diversity in the league, i think that is too big of a role for rookie like that.

Also I liked j'onn being set on fire. holy crap that was crazy as oppose to fear gas. please really....

Batman is sadistic with stopping j'onn. Every one got it nicer than J'onn. Here I was thinking jump in the water. surprise surprise flames don't go out even under water.

Yes it was kind of underwhelming. I understand wanting to keep the story that Dwayne McDuffie drafted intact out of respect for his memory, but personally I would have preferred a redo of the script and made for a dedication story with more impactby setting it in the animated DC universe established in the Bruce Timm helmed Batman/Superman/Justice League series, since McDuffie also played a major part in making that series what it was. The fact that some time has passed since the end of the JLU series would have been a plus since obviously the heroes are still having adventures and we just no longer get to see them and would glimpse/update of some of what has been going on in that universe since series end. Add the fact they the team faced Vandal Savage before during the series adds some background depth, & they had the majority of the voices actors from said series to come in for this would have given more impact to how the League reacted to Batman's "plans". And yeah John Stewart would have been Green Lantern as he was for the series rather than Hal Jordan.
