Dude that is the most unintelligent thing I have heard you say. Come on you know way better than that. The majority of the poor are institutionally poor. Not to mention locked in by geography. We saw this during the Katrina situation back in 05. You had a lot of callous assholes screaming why didn't they just leave and you have to think if a hurricane was coming where you lived you'd get up and leave but what if you simply didn't have the means. No car, no money for a bus ticket out of town and money to stay some where. It's easy to dismiss someone else's problems when you aren't them I guess.

With unemployment around 9% and jobs are hard to find and people are struggling to put food on the table not to mention keeping a roof over their heads it very easy to say "Get A Job". Iggy, why don't you and your republican friends take a trip to a homeless shelter or an unemployment office and show them how to get a job in this economy. Otherwise think before you speak.
Pay attention, I said there is SOME truth to what Newt said. Not all poor people are victims like you think. A good amount of them are lazy and dont have the drive or determination that successful people have so they remain poor. And as far as the Katrina situation goes, if I was living there and had no car or bus fare, you bet your ass I would start walking or running out of the city.
And your black ass would have died tired my friend lol. Like Ymra would say define some. I think those who would be considered lazy and not willing to work would be in the extreme minority. People need to eat and have a place to live contrary to popular belief the government doesn't take care of you for life. Most welfare programs have a very low limit. It's something like two to three years here in NY state.
