His portrayal of Earl 'The Goat' Manigault was indeed underrated, I thought he shoulda won an emmy for that role. "Talk to Me" was another movie where he killed it. I really hope Showtime doesn't cancel "House of Lies" because it's the frst time in a long time that a black leading role on TV was done in such a balls-to-the-wall fashion.
And talk about depth. That opening scene where he was crying about his mom's suicide was so on point and the way he is with his son is fucking awesome. He's far from one dimensional and I'm loving.

My point is there's no way Will Smith should be a bigger actor but he is or at the very least he should be mentioned in the same list with him of big hollywood heavy weights but he's not and that's because he doesn't have the pretty boy factor. So like I was saying so much for men being able to slide on not having to be hot.

Will Smith & Don Cheadle both have the energy and charisma to command big-time leading roles. However what many people don't realize is that Will Smith doesn't have nearly as much versatility as Don Cheadle. Will can play a tough guy but he's too soft to play a villain.
Exactly. Truth be told dude is pretty one dimensional outside of Pursuit of Happiness which was amazing he's not good in dramas(which is usually the litmus test for good acting) ie Ali.
