Blah Blah Blah, no one here knows them personally and no one except the two of them will ever know the truth about the split. Everyone is just talking out their arses.
This is why celeb gossip is so bad, complete strangers think they know everything about people they've never (and will never) meet.
It's sad when relationships break down and even more sad when children are involved...that's all anyone can say about this.

    SMH

Yet we can speculate about the happiness of another couple with as little information just because they have a few pics where they're smiling? How is one different from the other?

celeb gossip keeps this forum going by having people post their thoughts and ideas

    you people crack me up

if we had it your way, this forum would see a massive deduction in the amount of participation

I get celebrating the good but don't take the stance that's it cool to celebrate the lives of strangers who we know nothing about but then claim that saying anything bad is wrong.

LOL You're right. I didn't think of that. But, since this forum isn't a celeb gossip forum, I find the idea that the forum survives on celeb gossip kinda sad.

I just hate all the hate towards people that we've never even spoken to. To guess what might have gone wrong, is one thing. There's so much passion behind some thoughts here that it irks me. And hey, I've a right to my opinion too, ya know. ;)

The issue is when people seem to take it so personally that they get so worked up & angry & start arguing with one another over things that don't really know anything about. It doesn't make sense for people to argue over details they aren't privy to, especially when it turns into a silly back & forth with folks trying to one-up each other.

Drama must not be doing the trick considering it's run off a number of good members from the board. There's nothing fun or exciting about fighting, hate & negativity IMO. If people liked that shit, then trolls would be welcomed with open arms, & other than a few trolls that have fallen through the cracks, that's typically not the case.

It's not necessarily the situation itself but what it represents. Let's face it Kobe Elin, Vanessa, Michael Jordan, Seal, and who ever else are all fricking filthy rich. They wouldn't piss on us to put us out if we were on fire. I can't speak for anyone else but I do speculate when we have these spirited debates about alimony and divorce settlements its an extension of our own insecurities. Its pretty obvious. For a lot of women to paint Elin and Vanessa as these all suffering martyrs when we can never really know if they were selfish child neglecting bitches or the doting wives and mothers is very telling. Same with dudes trying to defend the bank account of men who could very well likely use their money to buy 20,000 dollar tvs and never donate a dime. Its because these situations are illustrations of our worst fears. I can say my biggest fear at one point was finding the woman of my dreams to later find out the biggest reason she was around was to be taken care of live a certain lifestyle while I think a lot of women hate the thought of finding their prince charming to later find out the dude is fucking everything in sight twice. But I have to say for me I like having these discussions here because it keeps shit out of my dating world. If I spoke the way I did here in my regular life the only way I'd have sex again is in front of the comp with some lotion. The forum allows to explore certain thoughts and have certain beliefs challenged. it's very therapeutic as I'm sure it is for most or why else would they do it so much?

Exactly!!! I wasn't talking shit before when I said I was allowed to get away with shit for a reason. I'm one of the most offensive dudes on here and it took two years for something to be done. I wonder why?

I understand what you're saying & I don't think there's an issue with discussing the topic(s) per se, even when the discussions get spirited. There's nothing wrong with a passionate exchange of thoughts, ideas, opinions, etc. & discussing/debating those things is what makes the exchanges interesting. It's taking things too far that cancels out the interesting factor. When folks get hateful & ugly over someone not sharing their opinions/beliefs, they've gone too far. When it gets to the point of the dead horse being beaten so much it's pulverized, it gets boring. If it's the same thing being repeated page after page in a thread by the same people, it gets old, especially when it gets ugly.

Then put them on ignore and poof no more problem. Or just not messing with that thread all together.
