The messed up thing is I think there might be truth to this.

No she doesn't. His movies do nothing but promote a gender divide between BM and BW.

    Formula:

    - BW is with a successful BM who mistreats her in some form or the other. Either he beats her or is cheating on her with a WW.
    - Tyler Perry in drag comes to the BW's rescue as she leaves her successful BM.
    - One day while BW is cooking yams and collard greens, she looks out the window and sees the poolboy cleaning the pool while wearing nothing but a du-rag and jeans, showing off his perfectly chiseled and oiled abs.
    - Poolboy shows interest, but BW is still torn over her ex.,. or dealing with the hurt that he caused her.
    - BM tries to come back in the picture, either causing the woman to go further into emotional conflict or she becomes more irate. Either way, the poolboy comes to the rescue, slowly bringing her to distance herself from the ex and come to trust BM again.

Then sometimes he might throw something in where the BM falls out of a helicopter or something and the WW he left the BW for turns her back on him because he's crippled, and who comes to his rescue? The BW.... showing that she can look past everything he did to her in the past. She's a STRONG BW and she IS the better person.

In essence, Terry Perry can eat a dick. Nobody gets a pass for watching his movies. Not even my precious chessy.

And so.... who's going to see Red Tails? I haven't seen a single trailer about this movie.

Never seen a Tyler Perry movie or his show which I heard is crap. From what I've heard about the movies that's probably a good thing.

It's out today! I'm going to pull a 2, maybe a 3, movie day. Red Tails, Underworld: Awakening and possible Gina Carano's Haywire. I'll write a review when I get back.

haywire is actually supposed to be good, even tho the plot looks like Robert Ludlum's Bourne series

dont be fooled by the fact that it stars a MMA girl

but damn that's a lot of movies id like to see right there

I can't sleep on Haywire with that cast: Michael Fassbender, Ewan McGregor, Antonio Banderas, Michael Douglas and more... for a first outing (I think), Carano's doing alright for herself. Must mean someone big in Hollywood is pushing her career, or they see serious star potential in her.

Damn, I'll probably be at the cinema from 5 'til midnight, lol.

    seriously

that was the first thing i noticed too

when rampage was in the A team, he was surrounded by a-list actors as well, but his role wasn't that great and he didn't have a lot of lines. I think Gina's role may be bigger. For it to get get 3 1/2 star average on yahoo, she must did well.

Haywire looks good, can't wait to hear your review of that Orejon (assuming you were planning on giving one?)

I'd pay good money to have Gina Carrano kick my ass.

You got it, jaisee. I'll post a review of Red Tails here and slap a review of the other two on another thread. Do we have a generic movies thread around here? I'm heading to the first flick at 5pm.

Is Haywire the one where Fassbender is nude? I want to see his golf club. ;)

Going to Red Tails hopefully this weekend.
