Ouch. Not trying to clown the kid, but I think the chair isn't the worst part. It's that expression on his face that makes it look like his day-nurse left the back door open and he slipped out of the facility.

I think you're right about those days being over. Nowadays it's from the studio to the street corner. But as for greatest diss, I reserve that title for "The Bridge Is Over".

What about "Ether" and "The Takeover". The last great rap battle.

Common's "The Bitch in Yoo" is arguably the best diss track ever. He eviscerates Ice Cube. Though I have to say The Bridge is Over and The Takeover are my two favorite diss records.

There was a massive upsurge of diss tracks following the Jay and Nas battle. I can't think of anybody getting killed over it either lol...

I was gonna get to those tracks sooner or later if one of y'all didn't. I was just referring to the days when real MC's kept it on wax as opposed to taking it out in the streets or a staged marketing attempt.

Part of me still can't believe the east vs. west fiasco was over 15 years ago. Time flies these days.

I'm a huge Drake fan. A girl i was talking to back in summer 2009 put me on to him and sent me a link to a video of his and i was like "aint that the guy from Degrassi?". I love his music and 40's production. the beats are very unique and Drake raps/sings about stuff people like me can relate to. Im not gangsta. Im from the suburbs. I cant relate to gangsta rap like 50 Cent or old west coast rap. My older brother practically raised me and he loved Wu Tang, Jay-Z, and Nas so I grew up with that tough NY street hip hop. But Drake's music really effects me because he makes songs about love and heart break. Drake mentions Sade, Craig David, Kanye West, Phonte, and Aaliyah as his biggest musical influences. He is a true hybrid artist. Nothing fake about him. He is a rapper/R&B artist.

His whole OVOXO movement with The Weeknd is a very cool clique and i think Young Money is actually holding him back and trying to make him tougher than he really is (they only release his rap stuff but never his R&B stuff and they encourage him to respond to beefs when Drake has said he wouldnt)...

I know alot of old school hip hop heads think that makes him soft and most Drake fans i know are girls who think he's cute, but to sleep on his talent is silly. He is a good lyricist, although clearly not on Common's level. This beef is stupid (especially if it's over that manly tennis player).

I just get upset when people call Drake 'soft'. Does he need to sell drugs and rap about being a thug to be 'hard'? If thats so then Im happy Drake (and I) are "soft". This is the big issue with rap and the black community in general. When a man expresses his feelings he is soft, when he commits crimes and acts ignorant he is cool.:smt102
