@ Dark Knight.... That is what I needed and love to see. Thank you! Bro, just ran my first in October... I know it's cliche but "ain't shit to it but to do it!".... It's mostly mental... Running another one in April in the Dominican Republic and Chi Town in October '12.
About 9 months. From the beginning of January this year. I was straight lifting (no cardio) before getting into running, just a big muscley dude with no conditioning. Started to run 4 days, one of those days being a long running session. Then, I cross train, do pilates, and lift light weights 2 days, rest one day. I was about 265lbs going into training. **check out Hal Higdon's webpage-marathon training for all levels** So I had to change my diet (mostly carbs) and lay off the weights significantly. Down to about 185lbs now. Thought I'd lose a lot of muscle but I got really lean and look better than I did when heavier. Marathon training is just consistency... Getting a routine that works, being realistic, and DIET. If your diet is fucked, forget it! There are days you are tired as hell, do something anyways, eg stationary bike. I still train 5-6 days a week for my upcoming runs.
We believe you. Are you sure you want that? The more people in shape, the less impressive it will be when you approach women with your 1-pack.....er....I mean 6-pack at the club.
the way that you're being so familiar with certain members says to me that you are an alias for an existing member your comments to fanny are rude and completely unnecessary. i'm watching you
