On Friday afternoon, According to TMZ.com, Kobe's wife Vanessa has filed for divorce: Vanessa Bryant filed legal docs Friday afternoon, citing "irreconcilable differences." Sources connected with the couple tell TMZ ... Vanessa -- who stuck by Kobe after he was charged with sexually assaulting a Colorado woman in 2003 -- decided to end the marriage because she believes Kobe has been unfaithful ... again.

As one source puts it, "She's been dealing with these incidents for a long time and has been a faithful wife, but she's finally had enough," adding, "This one is the straw that broke the camel's back." And our sources say ... Kobe "desperately" wants to win Vanessa back and will do "whatever it takes" to save their 10 1/2 year marriage.
According to the legal docs, Vanessa is asking for joint custody of their 2 daughters -- 8-year-old Natalia and 5-year-old Giana -- but Vanessa is asking that Kobe get visitation rights, which means she wants the kids in her care most of the time.
According to the Associated Press, the Bryants released a joint statement saying they "have resolved all issues incident to their divorce privately with the assistance of counsel and a judgment dissolving their marital status will be entered in 2012."

    No it won't.

Kobe will pay her roughly half his career earnings which should give Vanessa a $120 mil cut.

I doubt any judge is going to stick him with alimony.
If Kobe can't make ends meet with a $100+ mil in the bank, he's got more issues that getting divorced he needs to work out.

    Yall some greedy mofos.lol

Nah, he should take the season off. He won't be able to play as well as he would like to due to the emotional constraints the divorce has caused him. The season has been shortened anyway. Anyways, I found out that the reason why his wife initiated the divorce was because of infidelity on Kobe's part.

This also comes at a time when a recent report stated that marriage among Americans has fallen to new low of 51%. I'll be making a separate thread about it.

Id probably say the same thing if Kobe was Lebron's age but he's 33 now. He doesn't have much time left. I'm honestly not concerned about Kobe's personal life since he cheated. I'm just concerned about his game.

    Shut up Mikey.

You were probably in diapers in 2004, but this was a game he played on the same day spent in court in Colorado for rape allegations.

Okay, you want to see Kobe play, that's the most important thing. I guess I shouldn't have said what I said.

My parents opinion about it was that they believed that Kobe lacked likability. Whenever something would happen with him, people never came to his defense.
