Are Republicans really this out of touch with black people? Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) told hundreds of Florida A&M University students marching at the governor's mansion, protesting his decision to call for the suspension of the president of the state's largest historically black college Thursday that he came "from public housing too." The Florida Courier reported that a student asked a question about educational funding. Scott began, "I come from public housing," to which one student replied, "Not all of us are poor!" The crowd did not allow him to finish. Read the rest here http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/12/16/rick-scott-florida-am-public-housing-drum-major-death_n_1154200.html
He's already at a 26% approval rating. What more damage could he have done? Wait...forget about it. This isn't even the tip of the iceberg.
completely political. Members of a band beat to death a kid and now they want to protect him. The governor called it correctly on this one.
"I too love fried chicken and cornbread!!!":smt119LOL!!! Rick Scott is a train wreck. It's never a good idea when someone grows up never interacting with people who aren't from the same background as they are.
Isn't that a page out of Herman Cain's "Clownin for Credit" book? Rick would have really been burnt if those students had told him to go back to public housing... and the Governor's Mansion doesn't count.... :smt043:smt043:smt043
